I have posted links to both trade assocs that clearly show who there members are , so your answer to "How I can find out?" is on those two pages

however if the PPC suggested that you appeal to the IAS , and they indeed did the appeal , I think that is your answer.

there is no point appealing to Trading standards or your MP , its been said many times on lots of postings and in the help pages that you should just sit back , and ignore junk mail from toothless debt collectors (who CANNOT take you to court) , but not to ignore genuine notice of issue of court papers , or indeed court papers.

the harassment can continue for 6 yrs in England + wales ,

ONLY if you get papers from court of a letter from the PARKING Co , (not debt collectors) saying they are starting court action , come back for advice on that problem and the wording of your court reply

what is annoying , is that if you had given a better argument in your appeal , and they had of failed it (as they always do) , there response would have looked foolish in court and they would back down when they saw your court reply with that info included.

oh dear , the parking company must be a member of one of the two recognised trade associations

the BPA = th british parking assoc , who use POPLA for their appeal service
    http://www.britishparking.co.uk/Approved-Operators

the IPC = the independent parking committee who use the IAS for there appeal system
    http://www.theipc.info/aos-members

there you go , check out which assoc the PPC are members of

although we/you already know they are members of the IPC

Oh thank you very much for that, the LPS have to be a member of British Parking Association (BPA) in order to be PPC, is that correct?

If they have to be a member of BPA, they have to give me the POPLA number to make an appeal but they use IAS instead so my appeal would be reject it automatically is that correct?

If so, I can't see their name on their list. I guess it is unlawfully to fine me, charge me an interests when they pass it on to debt collector, harass and threaten me...

    Oh ok I got it...

Yes, the PPC suggested that I have to appeal to the IAS which it should take in a week, but I have appeal it on Friday and it take 2 days for them to dismissed my appeal. There is something that sounds fishy to me.

Why there is no point appealing to Trading standards? I have to let them know in curious I could get an harassment from Gladstones Solicitors or from debt collectors.

Ok, I will ignore their junk mail from toothless debt collectors who have no power to take me to court. If they come to my door, should I tell them that I don't want to talk to them and I want nothing to do with them??

How I can tell them to stop bothered me and leave me alone??

So you say the harassment can continue for 6 yrs, if they cause me an harassment for 6 years, can I sue them??

they are supposed to use the services of barristers that are indipendant from them (laugh) , however they actively quote to there members that they will win 80% of all cases .

there are no barristers , 20% are picked as winners (in a hat) , to say that they have 1000s of appeals , how can it be done in 2 days , when the BPA/POPLA take over 6 weeks?

"Oh thank you very much for that, the LPS have to be a member of British Parking Association (BPA) in order to be PPC, is that correct?

please will you forget the BPA and POPLA

you knew from your first posting that the IPC/IAS were a set of crooks and the IPC was a kangaroo court , but yet you did not leave an appeal , that would have had to be delt with , (and a joke answer) that would have looked foolish in court

unless you can think of anything better , forget trading standards , as you have had an appeal refused by a government recognised ATA , then do it.

the majority of people on here and other forums , after reading your tail , will tell you to sit back

can,t say much more , as we are just going back over what has been discussed here and on another 1000 posts

  • Thank you very much, it means alot.

Do you think if it is a good idea if I can park my car in a private car park as I lived here and I am concerned that if I park my car in a private car park the fine would go up and they could take me to court to owe them thousands of pounds??

From what you said I agree with you they are crooks, can I break the notice board down at night time when no one is around if it wont give me a criminal damage or if the estate would kick me out??

getting a ticket from a private parking company is not a criminal offence, if it gets to court , its a small claims court , not a magistrates court.
you can , but please DO NOT , pay this "invoice" anytime you like , including up to when you get court papers , you could go to court , AND WIN , however if you lost or did not turn up , it would go in their favour .

if you lost , you would have 28 days to pay this , without anything showing or appearing in the press or on your financial record

please do not pay those clowns

it would be heeled in your local county court , they would have to travel to you , or pay a solicitor , there is a max they can get for costs , which is a lot less than their traveling , or a solicitor would charge .

I suggest going back to the beginning , working out why you were given a ticket and try to get the company kicked off your land

    held not heeled

in your original posting https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5361674 you say that the h/assoc gave you the wrong permit?
you presumably informed them when you first became aware ,

without going thru several pages of the original thread , what did they say , did they not offer to contact the company they hired to get it dropped , or did they tell you to appeal?

if they told you to appeal ,you have done , twice and failed , give them the invoice and tell them to pay it or sack their incompetent employees

I received a PM this am asking the same questions he/she, ( I get the impression it is a she), has been asking here. I think that he/she is confused and frightened and does not understand the process whatsoever. I think that more tolerance than usual may be called for.

Your best bet Sir or Madam would be to contact the HA's legal department, and, if the HA is a charity suggest that employment of this most uncharitable of companies is a mistake. If they are unsympathetic, and a charity, write to the Charity Commissioners.
