Is there a way to block user from PM? (i.e. stop a specific user from sending ME a PM).
I wasn't on the site yesterday, but on checking today I noticed 2 more PMs from this OP. Of course I simply deleted them but why should I have to be bothered by them?0 -

I'm not sure about blocking individuals, but you can set your PMs for 'Contacts Only'.
It will mean setting up a 'Contacts' list - I did it initially on a day by day basis as I saw posts by regulars who I'm content to exchange PMs with. It therefore eliminates everyone else. I find that useful because I used to be bombarded by emails from newbies who required private, personalised advice as their case was 'different'. Road to hell. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I also got a PM from the OP which was identical to the OP's OP (opening post........), and suggested that he/she start their own thread as there are far more learned people on here (who have been giving me excellent advice, you know who you are...).
I've read through the thread and I still don't know exactly what Chris0147 has a problem with, but it looks like reading carefully and taking in the advice offered is one of them. Biting the hand that feeds is also never a good idea IMHO.
I could be wrong and I don't want to be insulting but from the diction of the posts Chris is either a foreigner who has settled here or isn't as 'knowledgeable' as many on here and maybe a little more patience may be required.
If neither of these then its a wind up, maybe even by one of our 'friends' from the PPC fraternity?
Sorry, I may (by advising the starting of this thread) be the cause of all this.0 -

Clearly a wind up by a PPC trying to find out what we will say.

At the risk of more confusion, I've read several of these threads and from what I understand (and may well be wrong
) I get the impression that the OP's parents are the residents of the flat and on the lease, and they have been issues with a residents permit, whereas the OP lives at the address but isn't on the lease so the HA won't give him a residents permit, only a visitors permit - and visitors have limited parking rights on the estate (or at least that's what the sign appears to say)
Without knowing the inheritance rights of leases on social housing - it may well be that the HA doesn't want to give a residents permit as it may (in their view) potentially establish some claim to the lease at a later time
At one point the OP says he is waiting to be added to the lease agreement - which if this were to happen would possibly allow him a residents permit (unless they are limited to one per household or something similar) and might resolve the parking issue as he wouldn't be restricted by the t&c of the visitors permit0 -

On what do you base the assumption - can't see any mention of parents in any of the op's posts ?0 -
Sorry - I picked up on what appears to be the same incident on pepipoo
forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=103778
"They won't put my name on the tenancy under my mum's name as they stated they don't put son on the tenancy, only boyfriend or girlfriend"
So I've possibly made a few assumptions - but are they reasonable ?
(And can someone please amend the link as I'm not old enough to be allowed_

Don't worry about it being linked to Pepipoo, there's at least 3 threads circulating on here about the same subject. Give it a few weeks and it will undoubtedly resurface back here.:(0
