Had my dryer delivered today to replace my 7 year old indesit IS70C with the whirlpool one and i have to say I'm really please with it.
I filled in the online form on the 23th November, Received a phone call on the 6th January to say they were going to replace it then another phone call on the 7th to arrange the delivery everything has gone so smoothly for me no mention of a repair or paying £99 toward another one.
Did they contact you first? I filled in mine on the 23th as well and not heard anything.0 -

So far, more than 625,000 customers have registered for a repair, the company said.
With many facing a lengthy wait, the company said it was offering discounts on new products for those whose appliance was more than two years old.
still waiting...0 -
What a debacle.
Filled form in online 25th November was told would be contacted within 5 weeks. Facebook messaged them on Saturday asking them to contact me or update me.
Phone call today was just purely to check the details i have given them twice are correct.
Said I would receive a call when they can send an engineer out still can't give a date.
Said I wasn't happy with that considering (why phone if they can't book an appointment) supposedly they are calling me back later today with a date once as their computer system went down ...they do seem to be having an awful amount of trouble with technology.
I won't be holding my breath...Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0 -

I had the same call on monday, i've also messaged them on Twitter - they tell me they've passed my details on to the relevant team.
They appear to be changing their repair/replacement policy daily!
Does anyone know if they offer evening or weekend appointments for repairs or the delivery of a new dryer?0 -
My replacement tumble dryer was delivered on Monday. I filled in the form online on 25 November and got a phone call on 14 December to say I was getting a replacement. My original dryer was a Hotpoint VTD00P and I bought it from Currys on 8 August 2007 for £159.95.0

I have a 5 year old Indesit tumble dryer. I registered 23 November and have had e mail today estimating the repair will be done this month or offering me a brand new Hotpoint replacement for £59!0

Like others on here I registered my Hotpoint Tumble Dryer on 23rd November 2015. I did my own and another relatives who also had an affected Tumble Dryer.
They have since been contacted and received a replacement at the beginning of January, whilst I am still waiting.
Yesterday I got a letter, sent on the basis I 'Probably owned a Hotpoint Tumble Dryer' and to check to see if it was affected.
Earlier today I sent a snail-mail letter to Customer Services at Hotpoint (Whirlpool Head Office) to chase up what was happening, since it was approaching 8 weeks since I registered.
Having now posted that, I have received an email this morning from Hotpoint, about my registration on 23rd November 2015 and it says:
"Thank you for recently registering your tumble dryer to be modified to improve its safety and quality performance. We are writing to inform you that we are experiencing delays in scheduling the free of charge modifications. While we cannot provide a definite revised modification date at this time, we are making every effort to have your tumble dryer scheduled for modification as soon as possible. This delay does not meet our quality and service standards, we apologise for this inconvenience and we thank you for your patience.
The safety of our customers is our number one priority. Every customer matters to us. Therefore, the necessary modifications will be made on the first-registered, first-served basis."
Clearly Hotpoint do not do these modifications on a first registered, first served basis, since I completed my online form some 20 minutes before I did the one for my relative, so Hotpoint are telling porky pies!
When I click the link in the email, it confirms the date and time registered and offers me a Hotpoint 7kg Tumble Dryer for £59, which I am not going for, since I shall hold out and see if they replace my other for free, as they did for my relative.
£5 or £59 I do not see why I should fork out for a new dryer when the fault lies with Hotpoint!0 -
My replacement tumble dryer was delivered on Monday. I filled in the form online on 25 November and got a phone call on 14 December to say I was getting a replacement. Sorry, I have no idea what model my original tumble dryer was!
Glad you got sorted with a new one. It seems however Hotpoint are not dealing with people on a First Come, First Served' basis as per the emails people are getting today.
There seems to be no set logic to how they are contacting people!0 -

Yeah, I got the same. I am not paying for a new one when others are getting free replacements though! I suspect this offer is so they can whittle down the number of people on the waiting list! They have a cheek offering people a replacement when they have sold appliances which are a fire risk!0
