BG told me that the technical team were working to switch my electric over and it would be done on Monday 16th. And not to worry as they will be billing for both fuels on the new tariff from the 8th
I would call BG again Monday morning.
  • Does the £30 cash back get paid from BG ? And when ?

It gets paid by MSE after your transfer is complete
  • I'm sure it said paid 3 months after switch?

Just checked my account and I've been changed over but like others seem to have lost historical usage data so I've messaged them to see what they say about getting out reinstated. I've had no communication confirming the switch, just checked the app.

Like kteirvine we are existing customers with British gas and have switched with MSE energy club last week. Both electricity and gas are now showing the new tariff although we haven't received confirmation emails yet. Previously we were also on a standard tariff after our previous fix finished in August. We are now due to save £560 per annum and get £30 cash back. Grateful thanks to MSE.

Well that's good. Remember all the deposit issues people were having with the Sainsburys collective switch. Well they've just got sillier.

Already with Sainsburys Energy (so technically British Gas) and have been since February this year paying by monthly direct debit. Today I've got a letter saying to call as they needed to discuss my payment method with me and been told when I called that they wanted a deposit of £120 on the electric and £90 on the gas to switch to a cheaper tariff. With essentially the same company.

    Ludicrous!
  • hi just updating you on the issue I am having with British gas switching my gas tariff to collective fix December 2016 checked today but still not switched my gas tariff only my electric has been done this has been like this for over a week so phoned British gas up today to be told there is an error on their system and some customers are only getting one fuel switched but not the other they assured me that my gas account should be switched by the 2nd December now and it will be backdated to the 5th of November just hope this is correct as they keep telling me one thing and then tell me something else.

I was told last week that my Electric would be transfered over today. My Gas switched over on the 8th.
But I have just checked my account and my electric still hasn't switched.
They told me they will back date the charges to the 8th.
But surley it shouldn't be hard to switch tariffs.

It shouldn't be no but for some reason it's proving to be
