  • Oh and by the way can my previous post about the lunch/private audience with our special guest count as outing no. 1? We took them to the Angel of the North and had a bit of an outdoorsy day out too.

    Hi everyone!

Here's my plan for the month:

My grocery budget is usually £200 per month so will reduce to £190 this month. Fuel budget is £70.

Hoping for at least 15 NSDs - hoping that being so busy means I don't have time for shopping!

I always aim to take lunch to work, but lack of planning lately has meant i have been living off cereal bars and crisps - great for my purse, not so great for my health! Better planning needed there!

Definitely need a declutter before the festive decorations make an appearance so will keep a note of how many items I can clear out this month.

I have a couple of days off this week so will get some batch cooking done in preparation for the busier weeks when I won't have much time off.

Will plan some free/cheap outing with the little ones when we have a day off together as I do feel like I am neglecting them a little at the moment. Not sure what we will do yet.

I have donated items to a raffle this month to the value of £6.

I am hoping my business will make a profit this month as more people are Christmas shopping. I will be taking part in a few fairs and am hoping to make £500 this month (a girl can hope, right?). I will also try to sell some of the items I am decluttering so will aim to make a little extra there too.

    My 3 new habits are:
    A) eat a decent breakfast, lunch and evening meal every day.
    B) drink more water
    C) take some me time - my evenings currently consist of making new items for my shop, so if I can get a head start on my days off, I can hopefully get some evening to myself to chill!

Wow - lots of fab posts to read through!
Grateful for a lovely sunny Autumn day here in East Yorkshire, that I had enough sweets for all the little trick and treaters last night and for DS being player of the match at football this morning!
Going to go through all budgets with DH tonight, grateful that he's fully on board with this (oops there's number 4!).

    Friends
    Today's lovely sunny day
The clean bedlinen waiting in the bedroom... OK, not actually on the bed just yet but it's the next job:rotfl:

lsd - yay to giving the clothes. Definitely counts.

lucky- it must be hard in so many different ways, living with your mil. Hang in there. Well done on cancelling the £20 spend. Getting enough money to move out is an urgent need for you to prioritise. Congratulations to your sil.

dolly - wow to your day!

tog - what a lovrly day! And yes, it counts as a day out. You know that you do not have to have 2 outings if you don't want to ?!

Today I am grateful for good coffee, for my kettlebell, for dd enjoying kids klub, for a quick chat with my sister, for the gorgeous colours on the trees.

It is inspiring to read all your posts - your plans for the month and determination to get NSDs, eat down stores, giving away stuff.

Awesome news on paying for your car without using the cc :T!

Helping people is meant to be looking for little things as well as planning things to do. So, picking things upu if someone drops them. Holdin doors open... Making someone a cup of tea...

No cheating on the making £80, eh! Can you do any tutoring this month?

Ah that's ok then. I'm that sort of person anyway, the students sometimes look at me crazy when I hold doors open for them or help them in a way that I just think is having good manners. I will try and go above and beyond what I normally do though.

I haven't had any tutoring enquiries yet, or none that I halve been able to take on. I need to tutor later in the evenings now I'm on my own, so that I can come home for the dogs after school. I'll have a think...

First NSD and one thing removed (only a sock). Have written letters to creditors and all my Christmas cards. I have run out of envelopes (the last few were so old I have had to sellotape them down). I have written my mother's cards for the last two years, so popped a smaller card inside from me for any people we both send to. So hoping if I cleared some out I would find spare envelopes. I also have some embroidered ones ready to make up (using up some spare card) but needed space in the box to store them safely.

Have done some preparation for tomorrow's hospital visit and walked round the town centre this evening.

Today I am grateful for the town centre lights (little dotty white ones in the trees), for a productive day and waking early (fell asleep in the middle).
