Morning all.
I feel like I've been run over this morning so today is all about survival. If I can get to 7pm then I'll call it a success. Thanks for all of your kind wishes - I'll ring my dad today and see how he's doing.
It should also be a nsd. ZzzzzNot giving up

Hi all.
CCL - hope your Dad is OK, what a shock for you and your sister.
I have made my debt repayment today and the interest has gone on so I am now under £6k (have updated sig accordingly). I paid £399.88 today and I made an extra £28 payment too. Also put £50 into our savings pot.
My gas and electric bill has gone onto my account today and we are still £195 in credit so I am going to ask for a refund of part of that as even though the next bill is the biggest one we should still cover it.
It is very, very foggy here so I didn't cycle this morning as planned, if it lifts I will do it later or go for a run. I will have to use the tumble dryer though which pains me but I'll get over it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello, sorry I missed the start of November but I never get a chance to check in on the weekend. Done some spending: food, essential clothes for the kids, triathlon entry, christmas (will get some of that back as it's on behalf of FIL). Over spend on christmas already but will reduce the budget for next moth by that amount and it was all from the list just earlier.
Finally spend our Debenhams vouchers from our wedding last year and got an all season duvet and a set of new pillows.
Looked at the Adlee christmas catalogue and saw that their geese are this year £35:mad:. I'm sure they were only 24 last year and 19 the year before. Just as well we're going out for dinner. DH still wants to get one and I am slightly tempted as I can't bear to think of christmas without a goose.
Today I am grateful for simple things like the beautiful autumn colour, my friend being on the mend and coffee.
My three daily habits for the month will be:
1. be happy, I won't let the daily grind, chores or whingey kids get me down
2. finally and forever stop smoking (go down from the two rollies a day to zilch now)
3. same as someone else said, read 10 pages a day and get back into the habit
Off to do some work and than catch up on what's been happening here.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

CCL - hope your dad is improving. x
Well apologies for not posting yet this month.
My food budget reduced by 10 this month 83.68/110.00 Done my monthly food shop so hopefully will stop me running out of bits and bobs - so much more organised on line.
Petrol 0/30 reduced by a tenner seem to have a fair bit of fuel left.
Will give 5 pounds to poppy appeal, this month as did food bank last month, my friend makes poppies all glittery so I have amazing one. She has raised over 1k so far doing them for the charity.
Outings will try for 2 as really tight on cash this month anyway.
Away 2 days this week but not including that in outings, already planned and I have really been down in the dumps last week, burst into tears at no reason - so think I need a boost.
Started on vitamin tablets, being getting lots of leg cramps at night. Going to improve my health this month.
Decluttered my kitchen and fridge on Saturday before shopping arrived. Will get to work on the rest shortly.
Yesterday had to spend, poor planning on my behalf, friends hubby bday noticed on fbook so bought him nice beer, biccies and fudge together with a card came in under 5 pounds good old lidlee. Gutted lost Sfd though but had a nice evening with them and lots of wine.
This month will only be paying minimum off my debt unfortunately.
Grateful today for
1. Sunshine
2. Good healthy family

I am having a NSD today, so that's 1/15. I will go to the shops tomorrow for milk and veg and meat but that is all.
today I am grateful for beautiful sunshine again and the fact that I am fit and well enough to go out in it. I am also grateful that I will be working this Friday for the morning (not for very long or for very much but it's a start!).Trying to keep in budget.

Long-time lurker here but this thread has really stuck a cord so could I still join you?
1. All budgets set. Food budget reduced by £10 to £240.
2. Savings transferred. I lost my job at the end of October so have transferred half of my pay check into savings so that I can live off of it in December if need be.
3. Currently on 2/15 NSD. Have never tracked these before but am hoping they will motivate me not to go out and plan meals a bit better.
4. No chain coffee shops or vending machines. Not a problem
5. Take your lunch to work every day. I'm usually pretty good at this and will be eating at home while looking for a new job.
6. Remove 80 items. Will do my best. I have massively decluttered and simplified over the last year so not that many extras left.
7. Use up toiletries. Happy to.
8. Tone your food cupboards - need to do a meal plan asap.
9. 2 Outings - need to think about that.
10. Make £80. Trying to sell a few items on eBay. Need to get listing.
11. Habits - do couch to 5K, drink a glass of water straight when I wake up. Will consider the 3rd.
What I'm grateful for today:
1. Being healthy.
2. My OH
3. Not being cold.0 -
Hi all,

3 things I'm grateful for today -- fresh air while dog walking

Yesterday, I filled my car up with petrol but can claim it back from work so I think I can still count it as a NSD. All 3 new habits started. Took my own rolls into lunch today. Pork casserole for dinner tonight. I think with a bit more veg I can make it stretch so I can have enough for a little lunch tomorrow.
Grateful for: work changing my hours so I can take the dog for a walk in the afternoon, my dog's excited reaction when I came in through the front door and my ballet class tonight (though it will stop today being a NSD, it's totally worth it - best hour of the week!)..Money made on etsy in April: £0
