Black cat big congratulations on becoming Debt Free :j:j:j:j:j

Had a long conversation with the MIL and cleared the air on lots of things, we generally get on really well and I treat her like my own mum, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. So that has been a positive from today.

First day back at work and it was a tough one but I got through it, is there anyone else on here that works in a school be it TA or Teacher ?? can you give me any tips ?? or gems of insight of how not to get so overwhelmed with it all I am currently supply in a SEN setting .

I am back to college as well this week I have my TA course on Tuesday and Maths on Thursday so it will be busy busy lol.

3 things I am grateful for

    1. being able to express my thoughts and feelings to MIL
    2. living by the sea
    3. MSE November thread you guys are so kind and thoughtful and you make me feel I can do this

Sorry for the long post yet again, they will get smaller soon I promise.

    Night all
    lucky xx
  • Hi everyone, hugs to everyone who needs one, and well done black cat on being debt-free :j Congrats also for your house sale mothernerd, so pleased for you and like others have said I'd make it clear that it is sold as seen at that bargain price and not do any more work on it.

Not properly written down my budgets yet, and I am away for a week this month so will sort that soon but too tired now and need to get to bed. Had my first outing tonight though - pudding and a hot choc at the local bar after choir for less than £5.

I'm working on being more generous at the moment, so the good deeds for others will fit in nicely with that.

    Today I am grateful for:
    - Being able to cycle home from work up a massive hill.
    - Having lovely housemates who are in to chat to when I get home late.
    - Managing to make weird concoctions for breakfast to stop me nipping to the shops.

Morning all! Sorry for my delayed response to the thread. I've added exercise into my monthly targets and day one included a rugby match which I'm still recovering from today, soooooo sore and covered in manky looking bruises.

I've had two NSDs so far and today should be one too, I have literally no spare cash so I guess it has to be! Off to a free BBC recording tonight after work if I'm not too tired.

Have a good day everyone, hope everyone that's struggling has an amazing day today.

    Good morning!

It's lovely to see so many familiar faces here this month but also so many new turtles. Love reading everybody's stories. Very motivating!

Today will be SFD number two.

Started another habit last night and read a bit. Otherwise not much to report. Only another two days at work and then long weekend in Germany with DD at my parents'. Cant wait.

Not a NSD for me unfortunately :( I very stupidly locked OH in the flat this morning so had to get a taxi back in between shifts - £16.90 spent

Oh no. My DH has locked me in before now, he is always shoving keys in his pocket and then going out.

Morning everyone and a huge congratulations to you Blackcat :T I'm not feeling brilliant this morning so a short post from me. I hope you can come back from that cab fare Misstara, it's never nice having unexpected spends, but never mind :) Today I'm grateful for this great forum, everyone I care about I can provide the necessities for and being able to work from home today, as there is no way I could make it in to the office today :) Have a good day everyone :)

apple - I loved the fog yesterday too, it is still here today but not as thick. I went for a run last night and part of it was on a country lane and the street lights were out for about 1 mile of it, it was super creepy and pitch black. I am a fan of anything gothic and love atmospheric horror so it was right up my street and by the time I came back into the light I had frightened the life out of myself.

I watched the last 15 minutes of Hugh F-W last night. I tend to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders and programmes like this add to it so that was as much as I could bear. I do hope it has some sort of impact though.

The things I was grateful for yesterday were, not being murdered in the fog, for my little car and for hot showers.

Today is a busy work day so I should hop too it fairly soon. I will walk the dog as usual and try to run again this evening if I get caught up with work.

    Good morning.

Things I was grateful for yesterday:
    * That I managed to make a lovely meal for OH.
    * Being able to take the duvet downstairs (means heating is left off).
    * Relaxing by colouring in little squares.
    :)

Today has been the bank day... £320 divided up into envelopes.
£110 for the food budget, £100 to my OH, £50 into the London pot and £30 into the Xmas pot.
That left me with £10 to give to my Dad (means I can pay off £328 from my credit card) and a tenner to spend on treats for myself (need new notebooks and they are half price at tescimos).
    :o

Still have money in the bank but will keep that there until the end of the month just in case.
    :)

Hugs to everyone whether you need them or not.
