Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi Turtles
Great to read everyone's updates. Congratulations to Black Cat!
    NSD 1 today
Got rid of a tea towel that had big holes in it. I could have used it for a rag but I've got so many anyway. So that's a start.
Did a big shepards pie for tea using up all the leftover veg & gravy from Sunday dinner, really nice and hearty.

    Today I am grateful for
    1. Simple pleasures. Hot baths. Drinking tea. Family hugs.
    2. Being organised. It takes work but everything is better when life is planned and neat.
    3. Things moving in the right direction. I am excited about 2016. So much has improved over the last 12 months to lead towards a better year.

    Night all

    Bob

  • Good evening turtles.

    Quick check in.

    Today I am grateful for
    1. I finally have a start date for my new job - 4th of January. Excited about 2016 - new year, new job, hopefully new me.
    2. Not NSD as had to do food shopping with DH. But thankful that we managed to get everything we need for what we budgeted.
    3. Cooked something from scratch - I had veggies only while the hungry hippos had roast chicken. I have enough to take as my packed lunch tomorrow.

Today I am grateful for the support of my community, being able to form a plan (with you on that one Bob!) and homemade lemon curd.

    Good morning.

Decided that I should add in my three things I am grateful for:
    * My family (I can't imagine life without them).
    :happyhear

    * Planning and the fact that I enjoy it (currently drawing tables for the 2016 saving spree).
    :D

    * Being able to afford to live in a reasonably comfortable way. I have come to realise that we are actually very lucky and should be more grateful for what we have rather than what we haven't.
    :o

    Hugs to everyone.

My 3 things I'm thankful for today are a gentleman gave me a £7 money off voucher in Mr Ms as the coupon had to be used this week and he hadn't spent that much, it stayed dry while we were at Warwick Castle and I had a lovely cuddle with another ex pupil.

It hasn't been a NSD as DS asked me if he could go to the school Halloween disco tonight so seeing as I gave him money for that I thought I may as well go and do the food shopping so still on 1/15

I have done over 10,000 steps again today though so 2/16.

Hope everyone's had a good day

    Jue

What a lovely bonus that voucher was.
    Evening all :D
Another quick check in for me tonight - I have a migraine lurking and am desperate to try and get to sleep early. It's only day 2 back at work and I already feel rotten. Never mind.
I can declare another nsd - and I even found £1.01 in roadkill around school today as well so that's ok. Good job because the bank account is already dire.
Today's lunch at work was a ys sarnie that I picked up from Mr M last night :money: And I did my helping other people bit at school. We had a fire drill at work, and everyone had left a student on crutches behind at the top of the stairs - I helped him down and out of the building. I can't believe nobody was trained to used the Evac chair and nobody came to take him outside.
Didn't get much fresh air today - just too busy to be honest. But I have done my 20 minutes of exercise even though it hasn't helped my head. No alcohol though, :rotfl: and dh did all of the jobs I left him for the house, dd made her own packed lunch and I hoovered right through the house and did a load of washing. Still struggling to get ds more involved though.

As a parent this post frightened the life out of me, imagine if that had been a real fire. Surely someone has the responsibility to know how many people need assistance and where they are. Thank heavens for good folk like you:A.

I ran last night and it was a good one although creepy in parts, I could here the foxes barking in the fields and it was very Midsummer Murders.

Today we are still shrouded in fog and it is worse now than an hour ago. DS is wearing his poppy to school with pride today and I am proud that he want's to wear it and understands what it is all about.

Tonight we are going into the woods with scouts and cubs for a campfire pie and pea supper for bonfire night. We only have to pay normal subs for the kids and nothing for me and DH.

I am going to Asda after lunch to get part of the weekly shop and will do the rest of it Saturday in Lidl.
