Hello,
another SFD yesterday and today might be one too. Probably the last time I log on till next Wed now as I'm off to Germany with DD tomorrow. I set myself a budget of £50 (need to buy salamis, hams etc to bring back) and packed my trusted notebook to keep a record of my spending at the airport and abroad.
Will be interesting to see how DH gets on with DS home alone. He never was alone with any of the kids for more then an evening so far. Plus he doesn't even have to rush out of the house as he'll be on holiday himself for most of the time as he'll finish his old job tomorrow and start the new one on the 16th. So it should be ok. Plus FIL is there Thu and Fri. I had to show him DS' lunch box yesterday as he didn't know what to put in and leave him instructions for the washing machine though :rotfl:.
Well done, turtles! So much decluttering, running, couponing etc going on. This month will be a good one. Keep it up everybody (and note to self to make more of an effort).

Afternoon all x I didn't get chance to post last night, but failed at a NSD as picked a few bits up for Christmas and also done a fair bit this morning online in work today, but all I have spent will be earned from my overtime I have done this month, I also just nabbed an extra 2 shifts over next few weeks which I would have refused if it wasn't for this challenge so don't feel to bad about the spends. But must try harder for NSD tomorrow. Thankful things yesterday were weather being kinder than expected, hubby having an easier few days in work, and hugs of DS at bedtime where he just effortlessly dropped the childline phone number, correct number too! into conversation, apparently they had the local police officers warning them about strangers and getting lost during busy shopping periods and what to do, the childline opened up a tough conversation to have about why 8 year olds may need to use childline so was very thankful for this too. Anyway back for a nosey around site, lunch from home and all food for tea will be from fridge too a nice stirfry I think.NST October #24.

Wow, this thread is BUSY this month - awesome! NSD today and yesterday, it's easy not to spend when I'm at work because everyone brings in lunch and eats at their desk. I do keep thinking I should go for a walk at lunchtime, but it's hard in a hospital!
Today, I'm grateful for central heating, for my work colleagues (because when they're on form, they're fab), and for my parents, who are generally excellent people and who I don't thank enoughtomorrow might be spendy as I'm going to a gig, but I'm going to try to find some free parking tonight, and if I do that, I won't spend a thing! Have a good evening turtles

Hi everyone
I've yet to have a proper read through, but have a great time Thrifty
Nothing much to report today, I have spent nothing since the weekend when I bought the plant plots. They arrived yesterday and are lovely
I have turned into a bit of a miser though and have fallen back into the habits I had before I ever had credit, I just didn't spend anything. It's good but I really do need to get stuff for Christmas
Today I'm grateful for my family, for my daughter leaving her trainers behind when she went to uni. These saved the day today as my zip on my boot broke :rotfl: And for the steak and pasta meal I cooked tasting as nice as it did
Have a good evening everyone

TOG fab news on getting a start date for the new job.
thrifty have a fab time away.
My £5 reward went into my account today so I have donated it to a cancer charity. Other than that, it's been a NSD. My three things today are having the energy to go to the gym after work, having a cosy flat to go back to and having a yummy teaMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

Evening all, my 3 things today are oddly hearing hubby and lil un squabbling playing games, all vouchers and giftcards delivered and correct £10,000 of other peoples money is worrying sat on the coffee table and my third, I'm thankful for MSE and especially falling into this thread, trying to be more positive and appreciative really does lift your mood.
All meals from home, yet to give the £5 yet but will be done. I am working on my 80 recycled bits, and the overtime is sitting at £160 so far this month,so going in the right direction I don't feel so guilty for spending on Christmas gifts as alongside budgeted amounts I have broke even cash wise. Extra water and early nights are helping all round too xNST October #24.
