Sorry, was working yesterday... not going to lie, we were going to be bad and get a chipper (new one opened up in town) but we got there and they announced that they were closing as had served 500 people that day. Felt a bit grumpy about it as it wasn't that late (only 19:40) and I had been working all day.
However, we ended up in tescimos instead which was much better for the challenge and our finances.
:embarasse
Spotted some gorgeous (still reasonably alive) flowers reduced to 5p. Should have been £15 apparently. Crazy amount of money for what they are. OH bought them for me as a treat. My first ever bunch of flowers from him (been together 5 and a half years). I am so happy with them.
Noticed someone on here chatting about myvegas (sorry, have ready three pages in a oner so can't remember who) and have decided to give it a shot so spent last night being extremely distracted.
Anyways, the important stuff:
* Budgets: Food - £110. Fuel - £40.
* Debt: Going to pay a grand total of £328 to my credit card which will bring it down to £350 for December.
* 15 spend-free days: Yep.
* Lunch to work: No problem.
* Declutter 80 items: I will try my best.
* 2 outings: Not sure if I will have any to be honest. Will see if anything catches my eye.
* Daily fresh air: Again, will to my best.
* Donation: Consider it done next time we go shopping.
Three New Habits:
* Clean up my mess before bed each night.
* Drink six glasses of water or diluting juice a day, no fizzy stuff.
* Attempt to cook more (made a beef hotpot last week then BBQ chicken. Tonight is a chicken jalfrezi for my OH).
No chance that I will be able to make £80, however I asked a colleague who was desperate to go to the work's night out if she wanted my place so I have gained back my £30 that I had spent on that. Maybe this would be my good deed??
:undecided
Will wait until tonight for posting grateful things... can only hope that the cooking goes well.

Things to be grateful for today
1. It is snowing outside but I am warm and cosy inside
2. The snow looks beautiful and everywhere is like a christmas card
3. I have everything I need to make soup and don't need to go outside
my 3 habits
1. eat breakfast
2. use the stuff in the fridge before buying more
3. have 4 days a week where I can only use freezer and store cupboard items - nothing bought specially for a single meal.0 -
You will set your budgets for everything by planning ahead. You will then reduce your food budget by £10. Eat simply. Get your veggies in you. £340 per month
You will pay to your debt or savings first. You will then live off the rest, as per your budget. You will not wait and see how much is left at the end. Done
You will achieve at least 15 NSD
You will not go to any chain coffee shops or use vending machines or corner shops. That should be ok.
You will take your lunch to work every single day. Done today
You will remove 80 items from your house
You will use up your toiletries and household cleaners before buying any more.
You will hone and tone your food cupboards by meal planning and batch cooking. I've made some soup from some wilting veg!
You will go on 2 outings. I have free tickets for the Ideal Home Show and I'm taking my Scout Group to see Burdi Boys.
You will tread lightly on our planet – get out there and enjoy fresh air every day: breathe it in slowly and deeply and energise your body. Dog walked twice today.
You will donate £5 or time to a charity you support. Already donate this plus Scouting takes up a lot of my time.
You will come on here every day and post three things you are grateful for.
1) It was nice and crisp when I walked the dog.
2) My DH has gone back to work today after being off ill for 6 weeks.
3) I spent lunchtime with my old 1-2-1 child and he was thrilled to see me.
You will reach out to help other people. I try to do this anyway.
The hardcore among you will aim to make £80. I've transferred my bank account to First Direct so hopefully will be getting £150. £10 Amazon voucher from Shop and Scan.
You will also START 3 new habits this month.
1) To make sure I have my 5 a day of fruit and veg. 2/30
2) To do 10000 steps at least 4 times a week. 1/16
3) To read or delete all my incoming emails each day.
Hope that's ok

Hi everyone, CCL sending you hugs, hope everything is ok. Well today wasa good day but feeling off kilter - mother nature time again. I transfered into my EF savings and resisted the urge to buy some cakes on the way home. I told myself I can make them and will have to to make my budget work. It was hard, but with buying bits to finish off the hall, i'm teaching myself how to sacrifice again, rather than instant gratification and worry -a lot- later! Today I'm grateful that I can feed and provide shelter for my family, for resisting buying those cakes and for finding decent priced household accessories. Have a good evening everyone

Hi all! So sleepy today, Mondays always do this to me, and my exercise routine has kicked up a notch and I'm suffering today (everything aches)!
Grateful for the lovely warm sofa that I'm currently sat on, the nice salmon that I had for my tea, and the bus driver singing earlier which made me smilehugs to all turtles who need them x

Not a NSD for me unfortunately
I very stupidly locked OH in the flat this morning so had to get a taxi back in between shifts - £16.90 spent
I remembered to take my water bottle to work so have been drinking plenty of water. My something nice/helpful thing for today was agreeing to stay on for an extra few hours tomorrow at work as they are short. Unfortunately I can't count it in the make £80 part of the challenge as I won't get paid the overtime until end of December
My three things to be grateful for today are having money available to pay for a taxi, seeing some fireworks on the way home from work and eating my tea at work thus saving me a bit of money. Hope everyone has had a good dayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

NSD 2 under my belt. I drank my water this morning and have remained grain- and sugar-free today. No kettlebell swings, though, as I was home late and am now getting dd to bed.
Today I am grateful for the fog (love, love, love it!!!), for a good day at work, for dh making tea, for a lovely parcel from a lovely forumite, for dd having a great day at school.

Evening all. Nsd 1/15 today. It's been foggy here the last few days but I didn't let that stop me exercising. This thread has definitely affected my mood for the positive. I have started a charity shop box to put at least one object a day in and a box for things to bin. I will count at the weekend and update my amount de cluttered Out of my 80. Been out and got some fresh air.
My things I'm grateful for:
Being healthy enough to exercise
The weather staying warm enough that a jumper will suffice- no heating yet.
