Bob - I forgot - add 50g of condensed milk to the recipe too. It is truly a sugar fest!
NSD number 21 for me - I am well chuffed with this, and may even make it to 22 tomorrow.
Dh returns to work tomorrow and I fully expect him to be exhausted from it, so we shall probably all go to bed at 8pm with dd!
Today I am grateful for getting an extra nap, for having the chance to go through my bag of things I've made and bin some (definitely did not spark joy whenever I looked at them), for finding some grey ribbon, for good coffee, for candles.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sorry about the lack of posting. I seem to be making a habit of this.
Have spent the past couple of months trying to sort out our trip to London. Between arguing with my mum and arguing at work, it has been extremely stressful.
I have done pretty much every trick I know to get the costs down but it never seems to be enough. I have explained that London is a very expensive place to visit and the things that would be free are places that the rest of them would not want to go (museums, etc).
Holiday starts tomorrow and I am genuinely dreading it.
However, this is not all doom and gloom... the wages are in and it appears that I (thanks to a t0pc4shb4ck "donation" of £40) am going to be able to pay off £450 and declare myself credit card free!!!!!
:j
I say "it appears" as I will need to wait until the middle of the month to make sure it's all good and that there are no surprises. Feeling pretty awesome about this (when I don't think about the London trip). It also means that come the New Year, I will be refocussing on the mortgage.
The hope is to start over-paying it by £200 a month, as well as building up a little emergency fund.
By doing this, I could be mortgage free by the time I am 40!!!!
Wowsers... this little debt creating demon might just end up being a money-savvy magician instead!!
Hope everyone is doing really well and are managing to provide for Xmas without adding to their debts (always a tricky time of year).
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Part of the day was absolutely lovely, the other part was horrendous (Christmas shopping melt down - although that's a first-world problem so I'm going to get over it quickly!).
Grateful for:- Pub lunch with family
- "Pamper" time
- Not having to worry about money over Christmas

Only ventured outside to regroup the bins (nearly drowned) and when the storms died down went to mum's cousin's house (one street across and one street down) to update her on mum's health problems (cataracts, diabetes and following several hours at the walk in centre yesterday shingles). I have been told not to visit for the time being.
Today I am grateful for a warm house, that the roof and chimneys are intact and for ordering DS3's trainers (25% discount and free delivery today). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening from windy Wales x Another NSD here making my 15 hopefully tomorrow will be too as have no plans on spending but we will see. After my nights overtime shift I came home and crawled into bed til 12.00 and then had a lovely pottering tidying day, even squeezed in 2 Xmas films OMG Heart of Christmas was heart breaking ! Makes money problems seem inferior.
All food from home, hubby had a hangover from hell I have no sympathy but I have not been mean about it for a change. Using up freezer stocks is working so well and we had such a lovely dinner and I have plenty of left overs to take to work tomorrow. As is using up toiletries and cleaning stocks, I am so bored with soap and glory now tho the big pump dispenser shower gels last forever. Going to work out my budgets for next month's challenge in work tomorrow once I have slept properly, hope everyone is warm and had a nice weekend and those busy bees have come close to the end xNST October #24.

How annoying. Just typed a response to you all and the MSE message was that the token had expired.
It basically said Apple - Glad your husband is going back to work ok. Had been meaning to ask.
Calling -Glad you got out for a walk. It is good for the soul isn't it.
Black cat - xmas shopping is enough to drive everyone potty.
Stewby - if you want to mention any of your plans for the London trip happy to see if I can suggest cheaper ways of doing them.
Happy Monday all!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

And a final quote (a repeat of an earlier one, but I think it's a good one!):
Breathe deep and reflect. What really matters? What brings you joy? Now take 5 minutes, and without editing, write down everything that matters in your life. Write fast. List everything. Review your list tomorrow morning. Reserve an hour, an evening, or a day this weekend for what truly matters.
Have a great final day of November, turtles!

Yesterday ended up being spendy. We bought the beer that DH wanted for Christmas as it was on a really good offer and within budget, we also bought some other bits that we totally did not need but it was only a small spend.
No plans to spend today though. It is raining again here so will be spending most of the day indoors working etc. Tea tonight is hm chicken stew and apple and blackberry crumble.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
