NST: Standing Firm in November

Last day of November and I am kind of in a limbo because the new turtley month has already started for me as got paid last week.
Boberella- no worries, hope you find something that works for you.
Stewby- that is fantastic, it feels so good to know that you are getting closer to your goals. I'm so pleased I managed to pay off a card last week.
Crazy cat lady- well done for getting to 15 NSDs
Apple muncher- hope your hubby gets on ok at work today
Just for me- well done on using things up! I think once you get into this habit you have so much more control over what you have in your cupboards and freezer. I do a big shop every few months and we top up with bread and milk and other bits but other than that I run stuff down really low. I have a months work of Sunday roasts in the freezer but haven't used them due to DH either working or us being out!
My house is still cold, yesterday the boiler decided to work perfectly but today it's not, the gas man can't get out until at least tomorrow so I'm sat here in a dressing gown and blanket with thermals on under my clothes so only my hands and nose are cold! Lol!
The builders aren't here today due to apparently the builder merchants giving another builder the thing they needed for our extension, not sure how much I believe that so another day behind on the extension. We need to knock through, finish plastering and do the floor and second fix but it seems like that will take forever!
Yesterday we went out for Sunday lunch for a friends birthday, DH asked if our joint account had enough money to pay for it and I said no it's for bills you muppet! Luckily due to me budgeting well I was able to pay for our lunch. It was lovely and we really needed it for our well being I think and it was good to see our friends.
So I'm grateful for
1. Good friends
2. My mum and dad looking after the children
3. The things I do have not what I don't[STRIKE]497.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 286.34[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]182.00[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]180.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 130.00[/STRIKE] CC1 Paid!!:j

Last day of challenge and I have hit many goals I didn't think I would. I earned way over the £80 extra mainly through overtime and quidco payments, I hit my 15 NSD yesterday, used up cleaning and toiletries has been a fab one for us only things we have bought all month has been loo rolls, deodarant and toothpaste and I will def continue this until stocks are completely gone I could wash the street with the dove stocks we have and I am finally using up a huge sack of washing powder and crushed dishwasher tablets I bought off eb&y a long time ago very very cheap so haven't bought either all month. The giving to charity was easy but I would love to do more I will look into volunteering after the new year as I have limited times but I will try.
I walk daily to work but I do make the effort to walk a little more, 2 or 3 tiny shops in our local shop was needed no venders or coffee shops, 80 items from home I am about 50/80 so quite pleased there but still a long way to go. Hone and tone stores has really helped things here, my hubby is slightly in panic mode about our tin cupboard looking so empty but he couldn't give me a list of what he wanted as there is still most things there just not 10 of everything and I have finally run down the chest freezer enough to just use the fridge freezer so we will have to decide whether to turn off defrost and sell or do a shop in farmf00ds for Christmas I personally would rather have the space back for the hoover ironing board etc and buy and use what we have on a monthly basis. 2 outings was 3 but as two were extremely cheap and were for my son really and Christmas based I am fine with this.
My middle son just rang from work apparently his factory hasn't paid his sick for the month he was off work even though it was a work based injury so looks like I will be subbing him until the end of the month so this will stop me overspending on things I don't need at least.
My last 3 things I am grateful for is my loving family, my eldest had an amazing time in Italy and main thing is he was safe of course and lastly that my office is cosy and warm on this horrendous day.
Thankyou all for letting me join this month it's been an eye opener xNST October #24.

Vy tired so quick post. Not done great in several areas but mainly down to lack of concentration I mentioned mid month. Only way to combat it (until I am in a happier place) is to have lots of lists and check them obsessively - minor disaster averted today this way.
Today I am grateful for my lists - a reminder note here + list of spends and accounts book and cross-referencing, for libraries (went twice, took a book back and got some free seeds then ran in again when it hail-stoned) and YS bargains (next month's budget but lots of Christmas treats squirreled away in the freezer). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
