Hello Everyone
I have caught up with the thread the best I can. Hugs to all that need them and well done to every one doing well on the challenge
I am sorry for the lack of posts I was away at the weekend and I am finding life pretty stressful at the minute,
I have done well for most of the month but I am lapsing for the latter. Hoping December will be a bit better.
We are keeping out of the overdraft so that is a positive and I have nearly bought all of my Christmas presents.
Sorry to hear about the job Dolly, I am in a similar situation working as supply Teaching Assistant in a school they told me to apply for a role even though I am resitting my GCSE maths and I am embarking on my Level two TA course, which I told them about but was told still apply. So I did and I wasn't short listed and they told me there weren't enough applicants. They have recently re advertised the post and I didn't apply and someone who works for the same company as me got the job !!!. Anyway on a positive they have told me they are keeping me on supply until I qualify and they want me to apply again. So Please don't give up hope Dolly .. sorry about the rant lol
Apart from that still living with the MIL which is driving me mad but as we are not in the overdraft December WILL be the month we start to save to get out of here !!! ROLL ON 2016 !!!!
Apologies for the long post I am off to settle down and read.
Keep going turtles we have got this

Hugs Bob for you and your friend.
Bit of a panic when I woke up - right hand was numb. New internet is so good that I spent 6 hours last night catching up on a favourite series and sewing - I have trained myself to sew using my left hand as well but cannot do the intricate/complicated stuff, so may need to find a simple project and alternate hands. Was doing a block all one colour and have three similar shades so needed to complete it rather than pick up using the wrong shade (can't tell when sewing then shows up after).
Otherwise having a very lazy day. had a bath and washed hair but lots of naps (made allowances for getting to sleep after 4am). Have spent money.
Engineer is coming to check the smart meter at the 'up for sale' house tomorrow (energy company don't understand why energy use is so low, despite being told every month that house is empty, so have decided meter is faulty). Engineer will be there sometime between 8am and 8pm so need food for the day. Have packed bananas, boiled eggs and yoghurt but bought other supplies as the things I had were vulnerable and didn't want to and up with a pile of broken/ mashed up stuff. Added a small plate, marg (bought a fruit loaf), knife and spoon (cup and plastic beaker already there). Other bag has two reading books, puzzle book, paper, pens and sellotape so I can put notes on the door if I go in the yard or to the toilet.
Worried about being cold but alternatives were take the kettle and cup a soups or buy a flask, so doing without. Spend day tomorrow as will need bus fare or taxi to get there. May cave and buy chips and gravy if it gets late and I get cold. Will try not to.
Today I am grateful for resting, for turtles (please stop saying nice things, blushing turtle - hope mother turtle is serene stately swimming not one foot in the grave one) and for good tv series (not sure about adverts for other progs keep flashing up).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Today I am grateful for lovely friend looking after dd, for wonderful work colleagues, for a walk at lunchtime, for planning December stuff, for having a boring bank account this month as the only action it is seeing is 1 cash withdrawal per week.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Quick post tonight, will catch up with everyone's news tomorrow. Ended up being a spendy day as my gran is in hospital. She was taken in late last night so went straight up to see her after work today. Spends on bus fare for that plus got chips on the way home as I couldn't be bothered going home and making something to eat.
Today I'm grateful for
- my gran getting better (even one day in hospital has made a huge difference)
- getting away from work a wee bit early to get up to the hospital

Nothing exciting but all make a difference.

Evening all
Another quick check in from me as it's so late. I'm in the midst of mock exam marking so am falling down under the pressure a little bit at the moment. Hope everyone is well. Sorry to hear your friend's sad news Bob. Mothernerd - hope you don't have to wait too long at the house tomorrow - sounds like a bit of a pain.
Spend day for me - I couldn't let the B0dy Sh0p offer on Martin's email go to waste. My bestie loves the body shop so it was a great chance to get something for her, plus some stocking fillers too. Apart from that though I have behaved.
Daily gratitudes:
1. Working my way through a huge marking pile without dying
2. Finally managing to get the smell of cat sick out of my stair carpet :j
3. Finding my knitting needles and deciding to spend 'me' time at the weekend doing some knitting. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

I managed a NSD yesterday. That makes 7/15. I can't believe how hard this has been, a real eye opener. I was suffering from the complete delusion that have LOADS of NSDs but apparently I don't. I'm so glad I'm aware of this now.
I'm going to try and have one today.
Today I'm grateful for my lovely OH, having enough cash for Christmas without using CCs and only having 3 weeks at work until the Christmas holidays. If you know you have enough, you're rich.0
