Three things I'm grateful for today (Tuesday):
- Constructive chat with manager at work
- Evening with friends
- OH - I love my husband!

Morning,
I have a problem. I had a 0% purchase and balance card and I spent on it but I didn't realise I hadn't paid it all off! Me being naive it didn't even occur to me that I might be charged for those purchases once that offer ended as I haven't spent on it for 18 months, I'm such an idiot! So I am trying to balance transfer but according to MSE pre eligibility I can only get two of these cards one which refused me.
Oh I feel so so stupid! I've paid the other card off in full so I am going to attack this other card now but it would help to not have the interest.[STRIKE]497.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 286.34[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]182.00[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]180.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 130.00[/STRIKE] CC1 Paid!!:j

GSRcat thanks for reminding me about CC.
Our 0% deal runs out in April so I thought I better apply for a balance transfer card now in case I get rejected and I could leave it for nearly 6 months. Tried the A.A. card as it has 0% for 22 months and no fee. Think I got it. Once that is through I'll cut up one of my cards (RBS never use it anymore) otherwise I'll end up with a total of 10300 available credit . Also the card I transfer from I will keep but reduce the limit from 6k to 3k. I will keep that as that one is our security for the car. Once the new one is paid off I close that too.
Should be SFD today.
Never made it for a swim yesterday, so swim and sauna at lunch today :jDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hello everyone
Quick post on three things I'm grateful for:
1. My lovely mum cooking me dinner
2. My lovely warm car for keeping me warm in the horrible traffic this morning
3. I have the day off tomorrow to spend with my husband on his birthday

Its the first day of maternity leave today and i already think its easier being in work than chasing ds around at 8 months pregnant!
Not sure where ive been this month, but havent posted much at all. Only managed about 5 nsd's, but theyve been small spends where i have. Its easier for me to pick up a couple of bits at the moment, than to do a big shop in my own.
Ive stuck to budgets though, and today is pay dayi got a little bit more than expected, and have worked on Dec budgets. Looks fairly good tbh, i just need to be sensible now and not go silly on extra xmas gifts.
Started saving for the yearly bills that usually get missed, and i have to find money for at the last minute. So theres £130 gone in that pot.
For anyone thst saves for home maintenance/car maintenance what would you say is a good amount to put away for this? House is 5 year old, and car is 3 year old?
Hooe youre all wellStill here..... but working on that!0 -

Sounds like a good plan Thriftylass.
I'm not eligible for that one either! I guess what I will have to do it pay off the 200 worth of spends so I don't get charged interest and then I will have the 0% till May to pay the rest off. Argh! Lesson learned, should not have got into debt again! Silly, silly me![STRIKE]497.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 286.34[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]182.00[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]180.00[/STRIKE][STRIKE] 130.00[/STRIKE] CC1 Paid!!:j

Hi there folks
Wet and miserable here.
Today I was tempted to buy myself a tv for my bedroom, thought it would save me putting heating on as could just lie in bed. Came to my senses phew I don't need one, hardly watch one downstairs. SFD in the bag and lying down not great for my back.
Thrifty copied your lead with the AA card their site is bit weird not 100% clear if I got it. I need to do a balance transfer in Jan so need to get my skates on.
Apologies for not posting things have been bit manic lately.
Mothernerd what a wise owl you are. We do work so much better as a group of turtles on here. Do help dragging my head out of the sand so much lately. Think many times I would have broken down in bits without the support of you guys.
Wardrobe saga continues, going to attempt to move it with son in law after work, unless I can find a neighbour so worried about pulling my back out.
Booked new carpet and bathroom flooring ( already paid for) to be fitted next week so decorating a bedroom this weekend thought if I set a date would get productive.
LSD work is the easy option running around after toddlers is hard work.
Bob glad to see you on here superwoman that you are. You and Mothernerd share the title. Hope baby Bob is sleeping at night more for you.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

It just said thank you for applying and the card will be with me in 7 days. Not actually got a confirmation email or anything. Wonder if I typed the wrong email ending though. Did you get anything?DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Evening All
I have 2 achievements today.
1. I am under the £3k mark as of today
2. I managed my stretch target total for November.
Pretty pleased for both.
Less lovely was finding out a friend has cancer. She also has a newborn. I feel so sad for her. Although she has been told it's one of the better ones to have and survival rates are high, how terrible to have such a shadow cast over what should be a wonderful time all about a new life not worrying about whether the mum will see her baby grow up. For that reason I am doubly grateful for my own baby and health today.

How absolutely awful for your friend. A friend of mine was diagnosed when her youngest was 2 and she is fine now and her son is now 12.
Well done on getting below £3k.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
