Give them a chance - they can't be expected to raise their prices AND sort out their website access at the same time !!

    Haha :rotfl:true!
  • Has anyone considered that perhaps the "my account" information has been corrupted or destroyed, either by the hackers after they copied it, or by the super efficient TT security wizards?

Yes - that did cross my mind - if they have had the DB corrupted - they "should have" back ups - but how long will it take to restore from back up ?

Not enough to stop them sending me my lastest bill.

Yet again - this implies that the hackers have access to bank card data - which is why I always ensure that I pay by DD (direct from my bank account) - the hackers may have details of the bank account but are unable to withdraw money using the account number and sort code (if they were we would all be in trouble since the account number and sort code are on every cheque that I write !!)
I've paid by DD for 15 years with them.BUT, also always paid VLR by CC, just done it again, last week, and a new 18 month contract.
Bit late worrying now the horse has bolted.
Same CC, that was stored with them.
In fact, they must have several CC details of mine stored, as I've changed CC umpteen times over the 15 years.

Well I wasn`t going to bother with this Noddle offer but earlier and because basically you can`t trust what TT says (only 21,000 bank accounts hacked), I signed up and also got the email alerts free for a year.
As pointed out above, I too have used different debit/credit over the years with TT and you don`t know what`s been hacked.

I suspect that the incentive to not restore the website is that Sim card holders can't check their allowance and might run up huge data bills, further lining the beasts pockets ;)

    Just signed up with Noddle
Incidentally - am I correct in thinking that Noddle used to offer to PHONE you - if there was something wrong with your account (noddle alerts) ?
Because - this has now been downgraded to an email.....
  • You still cannot access Talktalk my account. There must be significant holes in security. My switch to another provider is on Wednesday,

I already wrote & emailed to Talktalk instructing them to remove my personal information once our contractual relationship ends. I may well test that in 6 months or so by sending them a request for personal info. I think it will be worth the £10 it will cost me to find out if they have complied with my request.

Should they still be holding my details I will be on to the Information Commissioners Office with a formal complaint and my evidence.

I think all these companies you do business with hold on to personal details, that worries me, I think the law must be changed to force companies to remove personal data after a reasonable period.

You will be lucky if they have stopped billing you in 6 months.
