3-6 Month Emergency Fund Challenge!!

#2 update - had to get a few odd jobs done from the MOT last week, although it passed, there were a few things they picked up so got that in the garage while I've had a week off work.
Down by £95 so new total is £6,497.03 aka 74.68% - onwards and upwards though, this is still cheaper than buying a new car so I'm happy and grateful for that.

Morning Everyone
Well this Weekend has been mostly a good one....which I'm grateful for....And hopefully this Week ahead will be a good one too....
Nothing to Report money-wise, been a difficult few Weeks but I am still keeping up to date with everything that needs paying for....Just can't do much extra at the moment....But I'll get there

Evening everyone!
Made my initial deposit into my Emergency Fund:
£250.00/£1500.00
In an attempt to discourage myself from dipping into it, I've put the money into a Regular Saver which a) has higher interest over the term but b) if I draw out I lose all of that and the account closes.
Clearly if there was an emergency... I would use. But hopefully I have budgeted for most things and this will grow into a little nest egg.
Pay Day this week so will see how much I get paid and what I can put in...
Keep up the good work!!!

Evening all
April has been a good month for me, I was fortunate enough to get an annual bonus from my main job which I used to OP the mortgage and then the money from my 2nd job was split between paying off the credit card and topping up the EF. It can be tiring holding down 2 jobs and sometimes I question why on earth I'm doing it but every time I make an extra payment to the mortgage and EF I know it's worth it :j my new EF is £3308 thank you Helen xx

Hi all
I've decided to try to reach the 1/3 mark by the time the challenge is 12 months in. I worked out how much I needed to add for each of the next 6 months and transferred that today.
Fund now stands at £597.54/4000
Thank you, Helen, for doing the updates and good luck to everyone. XMFIT -T5 #420 -
Hi Helen
Could you add £100 to my total please I've just transferred it over.
Hope everyone is well and taking baby steps towards their totals, keep going everyone0 -
Deposited $122.85 = $5510.85/$15,000
This challenge has motivated me to find extra money to put in my EF fund. It has languished at the same amount for years.
Now it's G-R-O-W-I-N-G !!!!!. :T:T:TOverprepare, then go with the flow.
