I've finally managed to scrape back the £100 I borrowed from my EF, so I'm back up to £1000.

My Challenge for 2018 is to pay back what I owe my mum, then I can crack on with my EF.

Can I have a second target of £3000 please Helen? Mums happy for £100 a month, but I don't want it hanging on for years.

  • Evening All (or is it officially morning yet? :D)

I had a good Christmas....After I found out that I wouldn't be needed to do a Night Shift over Christmas I decided to use some Savings (not from my Emergency Fund) and take some time to relax over the Christmas period and I have to say it felt really good...

    I had a good Christmas overall...people were incredibly generous...it wasn't without it's problems but that's just life I guess....

I'm now up to £115 with my Emergency Fund and it's stayed in there for a while now without me having to take any out at all, so that's definitely a good sign...long may it continue...

Tonight I'm back on the Night Shift but we have an early finish of 1.30am so it's not too bad... :)

I hope you ALL had a lovely Christmas....Here's to the next Chapter of Life in 2018... xXx :)

carbootcrazy - I'm so sorry to hear that you have been having Electricity problems....Are things a bit better now? I suppose you could look at it as if you've gone back about 100 years but I don't suppose that will help when you're freezing cold!! I hope it gets sorted out soon hun xXx :)

Dobbibill - Thank you for your wonderful help throughout the Year...you've been a real help and so lovely...so this is my special Christmas/end of Year thank you....I wish you health and happiness and love and peace for the Year ahead xXx :)

sourcrates - I wish you a belated Merry Christmas...I hope you had a lovely one!! xXx :)

skye blue - I hope you had a really lovely Christmas hun...Merry Christmas and a very prosperous and happy New Year to you xXx :)

    166million - I've Updated the First Page...You're doing AWESOME...Let me know if I don't have it right.... xXx :)

LittleMissDetermined - I've Updated the First Page...Oh WOW, you're doing INCREDIBLE and you are AWE-INSPIRING...keep going hun xXx

x_raphael_xx - I've Updated the First Page and added on your Second Goal....Well Done on getting back to your £1000...You're doing AMAZING!! Keep on moving forwards xXx :)

    Morning All,

Well done on topping up that EF Helen and thank you for the kind words.

So as I said, I would be back with an updated figure once the RS matured so here we go.

    #2 - £102.26 added - new total £4224.18 aka 46.94%.

Super happy to have reached and passed my 45% target by the end of 2017.

    Keep on keeping on everyone

Hi A Random Man, of course you can join - welcome aboard. :hello:

Helen will be along shortly and will give you a number, she will add your target to the first page and update it when you check in.

This challenge is not a race but more of a scenic stroll to our targets - it can take as long as it takes.

All the best with your debt busting and we look forward to your updates.

Mine has another £250 in it so now £4000.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
