Hi skye blue. Well done on starting a diary:T. I keep planning to start one myself but can't imagine any of my doings could be of the slightest interest to anyone else:eek:. I don't want to be a Jenny-No-Mates:o

I'll certainly pop in to see you on yours, although anything resembling pearls of wisdom from me are very unlikely:rotfl:

Good Luck, not only with the new diary but also with your savings on Helen's challenge:beer:
  • Hi all

Just logging in after a while.... I went to Oz for 5 weeks and have been back for a few weeks with a massive crash to reality! I have had to use the savings I had, so will need to go back to £0.00 and start again please.

Have bought the YNAB and have allocated my savings to this also... I wont have anything saved for March but I am hoping by April I shall be off the block again! I am not going to take this lying down!

Hi! I'd like to join if possible please?

A scary number but I'd like to have £7500 as my initial target.

    Hi all
Well done to those who have reached their target, that's brilliant.

Welcome to all new people, this is the place to be if you need encouragement to hit your target.

I've added a bit to mine and am now on 1760/4000

Someone asked what else I was saving for as I have a few other little pots - one is for car, one for Christmas and one for things I can see might turn up but would not be emergencies. I see some transatlantic travel in the not too distant future so I'd like not to have to treat that as an emergency although it will be necessary. Makes sense to me anyway!

Good luck for April everyone and , Helen, thanks so much for keeping everyone's totals updated. X

  • Hi Everyone

I have been so busy I have not read this thread for ages so I am sorry I'm not very up to date.

Helen - Just to keep up my momentum a little I have added £10 to my savings and I am hoping to add more in a few weeks when I know where I am at and things calm down for me.

So total now of the new target is £1150/£6000

  • Welcome to all the new people and hello again to the 'old' hands:T.

Are you OK, Helen? We haven't heard from you for a while and I hope it's only because you've been busy and not for personal or health problems.

    Hi,

Please could I join this challenge? I'm a mature student nurse with little funding, so desperately need to get an emergency fund together 'just incase'.

I'm also paying off debt (all on a 0% card), but I've managed to save £100 so far.

So, my total is £100/£3,000 (3%)

    Thank you!
    Emergency Fund: £300 / £1,000 (30%).
