No if you don't mind what number you get.
Just remember that although there will be no penalty for cancelling with Sky you will have a £34 cease fee on the BB. This is a BT Openreach charge for removing you from the adsl BB and will be charged as you're not moving to another adsl provider.0 -

Really? they never told me that, they said I can leave both services giving 14 days notice without penalty0 -

If you are on Sky's full LLU I believe they don't charge the cessation fee. So you may well be fine.0 -

Yes just rang sky to cancel giving 14 days. I explained about the cease fee and she confirmed I will not have any fees to pay for any of the service's. To be honest I have just had a brilliant member of staff on the phone which is rare these days, she really was good.
Now to ring VM and tell them i need a free engineer visit or I'm going back to Sky :rotfl:0 -
Result!! vm engineer coming next Monday free of charge, very happy. Just need the 70mb free upgrade once connected.
Many thanks for all your help!0 -

Sounds good. I believe Sky are one of the few who don't charge a cessation fee.dacdesigns wrote: »Result!! vm engineer coming next Monday free of charge, very happy. Just need the 70mb free upgrade once connected.
Excellent! I think the upgrade will depend on when it's rolled out to your area. Many thanks for all your help!
No problem. Actually you helped too with the uSwitch deal for Virgin - may consider it myself as just coming to the end of my PlusNet deal. I found the £50 credit voucher which it took.0 -
The £50 code is brilliant, 2 and half months free out of the 12 month contract. No increase to full price within the contract to worry about.
I was wanting BT ultra HD as well as there fibre but there's no way I'm paying £85 in setup fees!
I think I've made the best choice leaving the tv, it's not like I'm short of content with Netflix, Amazon and my own plex server. Would have been nice to get the kids channels for the little ones, although we don't let them watch too much telly.
I'm hoping vm engineer will move my socket to nearer my plug socket, it's only about 2-3m along the wall.0 -

Virgin install their own phone socket, just tell them where you want it.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

I 've just looked at Samknows and Sky at my exchange is not showing LLU, unlike my TT and Plusnet. ( which are the most prominent at my exchange) etc.?
Does that mean they are using BT equipment et/al?
They are not flogging bt -repackaged plans are they.
tt did this at first, before they got llu.?
Strange as it's been in years.
Also, does SKY calls deal include Caller display, at no extra cost.?
Just collating data before I make a move from TT

If they're not LLU at your exchange then yes they're offering their Connect service with BT equipment. Avoid that like the plague as it doesn't have a good reputation.
Sky line rental does include Caller Display.0
