I've just phoned to complain and was straight away given 10 months free broadband (was paying £7.50) and 10 months line rental at £10 plus the sky talk package from £5 to £8 with 2 months free

    How odd.

I had agreed to line rental at £9.99, but my account had to be changed by a manager, as a call centre person messed things up.

However, when he came to manually change the account he could not get a £9.99 offer, so suggested £2 extra off tv with full price line rental, but realising it was not such a good offer, gave me half price instead .

    Would be £22.50 - £14.50 plus £8.

Sky don't do LLR upfront, unlike TT, and Virgin, which you seem to say they do at £166?? which is good,( if I'm reading you correct)

Yes Virgin is £166 at the moment.[/QUOTE Just finally got Virgin to see if it's in my street.Positive it was. Not yet, everywhere else around me.:-)
My Daughters got it,not far from me, so it 's looking like Sky llu or Plusnet llu.( which don't do anytime inc mobiles.? just land lines.U-switch).apart from TT llu.
    Sometimes I wish I'd stayed a Luddite:-)

As I said before, Plusnet is not LLU - it uses BT equipment at the exchange.

You'll not find many doing mobile calls as part of their Anytime package. Sky have only just introduced it and TalkTalk followed Sky.
  • Only just signed up with Sky last month as leaving TalkTalk for this same reason! Got a great deal but this is taking the mic! If we get the notification will have to see what we can get out of them.

Sorry jem, it's me that's going LLU.;)
So it looks like sky, unless TT have a change of heart when I ring retention team for the final time.
There's BT, but their offers aren't too good, that I can see.
    See what G/Son can do..

They have a brilliant offer if you use Quidco - up to £190 cashback.

Works out at £15pm for LR, Anytime ( although not mobiles ), BB - 12 months contract. BT is of course not LLU.

However not everyone can get the £190 apparently - some are only getting £60.

    What notification?
I only knew when TT doubled+ my bill 2 days ago.
I knew via here, it was on the cards, but, TT didn't notify me in any way.
They are certainly not up for haggling, in my case .
They want Newbies, even if it costs them more than retaining loyal customers.

I saw it on here for TT too so called up before we got the email. All depends on when your bill is apparently. Now left TT and with SKY for the same to bloody happen. Im not leaving sky as i like the service and the sky+ box but will try it on see what i can get out of them!
