Hi all,
Can anyone please tell me which network provider that DAP pay chq or airtime credit for cashback redemption.( I couldn't find the info anymore)
many thanks0 -
Just had excellent service from Dial-a-phone... I posted a couple of queries on their site, via email and actually received phone calls back within 48hrs about them both..
To claim I sent a photocopied version of the the bill off and have received my (first) cheque back.
No they're not the cheapest out there, in terms of cash back but, hell having a reasonable degree of certainty that one is getting to receive the cash back, is good in my books...
At this rate, I will be considering using them again..0 -
Must agree about DAP. I have been with them since 2002 and they have never missed a beat. Excellent service. (touch wood)0

Did your cashback documentation state which address bills need to be sent to. It appears they have changed address to staffordshire(a phones4u address) but have not told any of their older customers like me who would have posted to the old destination. They have updated the website but if my cashback documentation is now wrong.ukdutypaid wrote: »Just had excellent service from Dial-a-phone... If its any help I sent mine to Redemption Claim Centre, PO Box317, Northampton, NN3 9WU, last week and received a confirmation text within days.0 -
That's interesting cause they still claim not to have received my claim and nothing is being reported by royal mail's tracker either. I have now sent another claim to the staffordshire address. At least that one won't have been abandoned by phones4u. All this stalling has already cost them one contract order from me and if it continues I'm going to go elsewhere for my second.0

Have you emailed or phoned them? As I have always found them very helpful.0 -
I have not managed to find a phone number for dialaphone apart from the 0800 sales line which I assume will just fob me off by saying that they know nothing. I have sent them a series of messages and have finally got them to call me. A women phoned saying that they had received the second bill I had posted to them on Tuesday and that the cheque will soon be on it's way. I did take the opportunity to have a gripe(not that it would do much good) about them changing redemption addresses(she did say that claims have to be sent to the new address) and not informing their customers about it for which she apologised. At least it made me feel a little better since I had wasted a recorded delivery.
Now if this cheque turns up and doesn't bounce then I may give them a second chance.0 -
Surely DAP would have to get royal mail redirection from the old claim address to the new address for at least 18 months after the change over, or keep both addresses live. A proportion of customers will not have internet access to see that the address had changed, if they are not informing people as a matter of course and claims were going unpaid then potentially could they be in breach of contract?sanfly0

I think not informing customers is probably one of the strategies brought in by p4u to decrease cashback claims. They must figure that they will gain in the long run even if they get taken to court. I was forced to post to the newer address eventually but the thought had run through my mind to sue them instead as a matter of principle. They should have actively made an effort to inform people about changes.0
