Dialaphone? (merged)

I purchased a PAYG phone from dialaphone last month as an xmas present, it works but the screen intermittently has lines going through it (it is a samsung U600) since it has been activated. I emailed them and they sent a repair form and said to send the phone via insured post, after speaking to them they say I will have to pay the cost of this, they will not refund me for it. After looking at the trade description act I feel I should be entitled to a replacement rather than a repair as repair of the goods would cause me significant inconvenience (the cost of sending the phone back). Am I right in thinking this or can someone give me any more info on how best to tackle this. Many thanks in advance0

Hi all, just a quick question really. I have just sent off my bill to claim my first cashback from Dialaphone. In the instructions it says:
"For your first cashback claim, you need to send off the bill dated between 6th December and the 6th January. Please refer to the actual bill date rather than the bill period."
So I have a bill that I received in December, dated 6th December. I sent this bill off the other day. Today I received a bill dated 6th January. Now I'm slightly confused and I'm not sure whether I've sent off the right bill. Dialaphone are asking for the bill dated between 6th December and 6th January, and I have two bills that are within that range; one on the 6th Dec and one on the 6th Jan!
Thanks for your help.0 -
I think there has been a couple of threads about this already and the general consensus was that you should send off the 6th Of Dec one so that it gives you enough time to check with dialaphone if you have sent off the correct one. Dialaphone's CS is not the best so don't delay asking them if you need to post your Jan bill.0

It does also state that the bill has to be received by them between the 6th January and the 6th February.0

Thanks for your reply. How long should I give it before I call them? I sent it by "Recorded/Signed For" delivery so they should have received it yesterday at the latest.0

DialAphone cheques arrive within a week, you've got plenty of time
If only certain other companies were as quick (and I'm referring to the 90 day and then only if you threaten to sue us merchants). You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
Sounds like a good company0

I am planning to take a contract from Dialaphone and planning to go through quidco (Its a cash back deal). I have 2 Qs:
- Can I still do a refer a friend even if I am going through quidco (I have requested that on refferal board)
- I have to port the number as well from my present virgin sim to the new contract on T-mobile. According to their website, it is possible to do it after you get the phone. Has anyone here ported their number on a cashback deal and would it affect the cashback in anyway.
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Myself and OH have 3 contracts between us with dialaphone. All 3 on £10 per month line rental deal which is via 3 installments of cashback.
Sent off 3 claims, separate envelopes, recorded delivery same day etc. OH had confirmation of claim and that a cheque for £80 was on way. Logged onto "my account" and the cashback for all 3 phones changed to 2 claims for £80 each.
I have emailed dialaphone as it's a bit odd all 3 accounts are wrong but no response.
Dialaphone have now responded to confirm that I'm due 3 cashbacks of £80 on each account but no explaination of why my online accounts were changed. Took a few more days but now it shows 3 cashback online too.
Their telephone support is lousy and they are very tiresome to deal with if your phone is faulty - but this is true of most phone companies!

Sent off my first cashback claim on the 6th January, recorded signed for postage. My cheque came through on the 11th January. Absolutely delighted and really glad I chose a company like Dialaphone. If you follow their simple T&C's, you'll get your cashback.0
