I'm absolutely gutted about the rugby, I had to have a gin after! I'm so proud of the Scotland lads though, amazing effort just not enough decisions went their way.
I finally got round to sewing some clothes I'd got holes in rather than throwing them away, quite thrifty and now I have a kimono, bra and tracky bottoms to wear!
Two NSDs this weekend and I've a feeling I've lost a good amount of weight on my diet too so I'm very happy, won't know for sure till weigh in on Tuesday so got to keep control tomorrow. Back to work tomorrow and travelling most of the week so no spending hopefully as work should cover any expenses, just need a day to top up petrol and buy some toiletries.
Have a nice Sunday evening everyone.0 -
andrar also gutted about the rugby, it was a fantastic game to watch although a few gins were definitely needed
Weekly shopping today - got a good YS haul again, fruit and gf bread, muffins and rolls. OH made a big pot of soup for lunch so I'll have the leftovers during the week for lunch with the rolls. We had roast chicken for tea so we'll have the leftovers for tea for the next couple of nights.
Hoping for a few NSDs this week, also need to go to the gym as I've been a bit lax recently.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

Hey everyone
I have (unsurprisingly) bagged another nsd today, but am feeling loads better than I have done recently. Just need to get a decent night's sleep now and I'll be good. Plus it's only a week until half term. Yay!Not giving up

Hi all.
Everyone seems to be doing very well with NSD's this month. Glad to hear that posting on here is helping people stay motivated.
I am working today then giving blood this afternoon. I will call at the post office just before that to post my ebay parcel. Will walk the dog later but no strenuous exercise today as I didn't have time this morning and can't do it after the blood donation.
I spent £1.57 of the grocery budget in Asda yesterday, on cookies (naughty) and Quaker big bowl porridge, they had all the Oats so simple at £1 a box, I make up my own porridge at the weekend but use these sachets sometimes on school mornings for speed.
Me and DH nearly ordered a takeaway last night, the kids had driven us mad all day (DD mainly) and we fancied a treat, we resisted in the end so that was £15 ish and our arteries saved - phew.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Good morning,
sorry not had a chance to catch up on posts yet and respond. I don't like how this new website won't work on my phone anymore and I miss out over the weekend.
Anyway, OH made a big lamb tagine last night and there are another two meals for us in the freezer. Saturday and today are finally a few more SFDs. Yesterday did a little top up shop for milk, bread and yogurt and got the missing seeds I needed and a massive bag of compost to finish my veg patch if I ever get a chance.
Harvested Oscar's last apples (only he and the gooseberry bush-Martha after my nan, have names), done a wee bit of digging, trimming fruit bushes and getting my spring bulbs in the ground. Done this while DH was at work and I had the two kids. Anyone else noticed this that when DH is present one gets less done but when he's away even if I have both kids I get stuff done - mystery....lol.
I give up on getting a lie in ever again too. Didn't get one all weekend, again, "Oh I never heard them". This morning i was up at 6 with DD and DH had the cheek to bring down DS 20 in later and go back to bed. He'll never change......Men, quite funny how we have the same conversation in our office about them. Last night he asked can I help you with the dishes. No but you could just do them once? Doh.....And he asked me, oh you've gone right off drinking (he had about 4-5 beers Fri, Sat and Sun night). I said, well I don't really have the money just now so I leave it, he didn't get it. It's like talking to a wall.....
I love him, but sometimes it's hard work.......
Anyway, quick question. Does anyone here actually does a costing/proper budget for christmas. I started listing all the gift ideas etc and putting a number next to them or if I can use vouchers. I'm often under the false illusion that some things don't cost that much but then get caught out by the totals. Like making home made limoncello, bottles and vodka aren't cheap but then I guess still better than some random impulse present?
Sorry for my long ramblings. Better read back and catch up...
EDIT;
Had to laugh reading back my post. It's so German, we like to have a moan :rotfl:DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi thriftylass me and dh are the same, although he is good now that im expecting (most of the time!). The thing that winds me up with him are his good intentions, that never happen! Like pressure washing the walls outside, or mowing the lawn, or hoovering the car. He says he'll do them and doesnt, so id rather him not tell me he's going to!!
Nsd 9 today, had one yesterday too. Havent got any money so its a case of cant!! I really need petrol, but im hoping it lasts me the school run, and to take dd to netball!!
Been organised this morning, washed some more newborn clothes, and theres cawl in the slow cooker and soup in the soup maker for lunch today and tomorrow.
Ds is having a nap so ive got my feet up for 5 mins!!
bob that's a really sad story, but has a happy ending. Im glad shes making the most of things now.Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Thrifty - I save up for Christmas and this includes presents, food and drink and when it's gone it's gone.
Went to give blood but weirdly my iron levels were too low so now I can't do it for 12 months. I'm not ill and never am really and I eat well, I wondered if it was something to do with the 1 hr walk I did beforehand but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for me. They told me to see my GP but I can't be bothered with the appointment faff.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
