Me and DH went for a run last night and it was one of those amazing runs where I feel like I can go on forever, it is a shame these don't come around more often. Today I will walk the dog to the woods, round the woods and back, then cycling before the school run.
I also need to work today and am planning to clean the venetian blinds in the kitchen and dining room - hate this job.
DS is at swimming club tonight but the money is already budgeted for and in his swim bag. The washing is on and am hoping to get it all dry on the line like yesterday.
I am thinking of cancelling my Sky tv as we hardly watch anything on it, we have the original bundle which is £20/month, the thing we would miss most is recording things. How do those of you who don't have Sky/Virgin record (if you do) or watch catch up? We have pretty bad internet speeds here especially at peak times so watching via that method would take forever. I'm not sure what functions are available on freeview now as we have had Sky so long.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

We have got BT and it has the major catch up channels like 4OD, BBCiplayer. We don't miss SKY anymore especially as there some good shows on BBC and Channel 4 again (the returned, orphan black etc.) Not sure what we pay though, DH does that one but it's a TV/ internet/bt sport bundle, prob more than £20. But I think a standard free view box does pretty much the same. Oh and I think as the free view comes digitally over the ether it doesn't depend on the internet speed, so catch up, recording etc should work fine. Someone correct me if I'm wrongDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Thanks Thrifty, I will get DH to turn off the sky box and see what we can do through freeview, I have no idea which of the 9 million cables and sockets are which so will leave well alone.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Not a spend free day after all. Ordered DD a mini balance bike for christmas. She wants to go on DS balance bike all the time but it's too big and heavy. Wanted to get her one anyway but just found a German company that makes mini versions and had a sale on (20%off). Also started making an Amaz0n wish list for educational, less then a tenner (rather than last minute dash Tkmax kind of) toys for friends kids and our own. Will get a small surplus and use them for birthdays next year. I think DH has a few company bonus vouchers left and we can use them for that hopefully.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250

Another NSD to add to my total - 11 now. I did try to spend, in the newsagent's and the c00p, but all to no avail!
dolly - I loved the run! I used to run a looong time ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Half marathons were my thing and I got a best time of 1:40:11. However, that was many a year ago and I know I'm much heavier and out of shape than I was then - heck, I used to go for a hilly 6 mile stress-buster! So I'm now running in jeans/trousers (+ run shoes and sports bra, of course) as I tend to do it after dropping dd somewhere, and I'm not yet ready to wear lycra in public where people know me! I've been doing the run/walk thing and hope to upgrade to just 'run' soon.

Hey Turtles
Well. My family all have the lurgy. Heavy colds in any case. Son is snotty and sniffy. OH and I both have sore throats and headaches. Baby seems fine so far. So that's a bit annoying.
Managed another NSD. And made a very yummy use it up stir fry for dinner which used up a packet of YS egg noodles and a box of veggies cooked on Sunday. Plus some YS sweet chilli chicken.
Sent another cheque for the baby so she now has £50 to start off her savings account. OH is going to register her early next week. Does anyone know if we have to have a birth certificate before we can open a savings account?

Completely ruined a nsd last night. Dd asked if id order her a dvd from Amazon for £9, and she'd pay me back with her birthday money. I hate paying the delivery charge, so i added one of the gifts i want ready for xmas (£11.88) also into the basket to get it over £20 for free delivery. Only afterwards i realised id lost my nsd and thats really bugged me!! not much i can do now i suppose, and i would have ordered the pressie at some point anyway.
bob hope you feel better soonStill here..... but working on that!0
