Littleskintdragon - I don't think you should feel bad about that as it's a false economy to pay a delivery charge just to get a NSD. And thank you OH says he feels better today. I am still very scratchy voiced. And a bit headachey. Anyway!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Don't let it worry you, the fact that it has bothered you at all shows you are on the right track.
Bob - hope you feel better soon.
Fmess - I think it is a psychological thing to feel more tired when you know your break is imminent.
apple - get that lycra on and be proud. I wear More Miles Thermal Running Tights in winter and they are fab.
Today will be a spendy day but just for groceries, this will be our last shop from this month's budget as it is payday on Monday. We really need to stock up, our fridge is so bare we could be on the local news opening it to demonstrate how poor we are.
Today is meat free day, I am having cheese on toast for lunch and am making mexican soup for tea which we will have with garlic bread.
I got to the cashing out limit with the survey site I use and requested my voucher so that will be along soon.
Have a nice day all.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

!!!!o,
had meat free day yesterday, vegetarian curry for tea. Off to get some chocolate, I know, sorry. But had a bit of a thing with DH this morning. We never argue (once in 11 years sober and once drunk) but we also don't talk much so to say. We just sleep over it and it doesn't seem too bad the next day. But recently things have been brewing a bit (nothing that can't be resolved by talking). It's just about the share of chores and getting up with the kids in the morning etc etc. Anyway long story....I jumped out of the car this morning in a huff without a kiss or a goodbye, we were both being cranky and irritable. But I thought I have to do sth and if I don't do it know, again I won't bring it up after work. So I wrote him an email as I find it easier to put things in writing. So waiting for a response but need some chocolate while I do.
Anyhow, will need to pop into LIDLdiddle at lunch anyway to pick up fresh bread and bananas.

Good morning.
I keep going awol and I feel really bad about it. Spend-free days should be quite high as we haven't been doing a lot of shopping, just large amounts of money every so often.
:embarasse
We treated outselves to lunch out on Sunday (the most MSE lunch I think we have ever had). We went to a local castle for a look then had soup and a drink each. Grand total of £10 (plus £2 tip).
It was a great day out and we both absolutely loved it.
I have been very bad. About four or five different people (some complete strangers) have spoken to me and mentioned about living life whilst you can, don't let work take over, etc, etc.
One of them was someone who is dying... my one regret is not living, just surviving. They had saved all their life to enjoy their golden years, only to be diagnosed just before they retired.
It was a bit of a wake up call to be honest.
I wasn't sure about putting it on here as I feel like such a failure and get a pang of guilt every time I look on this site. However, the change in my mood has been quite dramatic. Woke up naturally at the back of nine. Straight out of bed and downstairs, weight checked and diet now started. House tidied, Bed strippped and in the washing machine. Away to go and dust.
When looking at just my credit card, I have never felt so great. It will be finished by the end of 2015... two more payments to go.
I could only pay off £230 this month which brought me down to £678.

Hope everyone is doing okay. Congratulations on baby bob and hope your bug clears fast.

Honestly men (present excluded). DH:"I was so tired and crumpy because I didn't expect to be up early" (he was up an hour after us this morning!, usually it's 2), "Just wake me when you need me to get the kids, last few times we arranged for me to get up you had already gotten them". Doh, that's because he didn't hear them. By the time I get little DD as not to wake DS and wake him, I'm awake too. And what's the point if he gets up with them and then goes back to bed an hour later, might as well do it myself. :wall: Anyway, so now we made an "arrangement" for him to get them every Sat morning, as it used to be when we just had DS and if he doesn't he does it the day after. Surprised he didn't want it in writing or put it in the calendar. Geez....
Anyway, spend 11 pounds in LIDLdiddle on mainly veg and fruit and £3 in Tescimo on 16 butchers choice sausages. Will still need to do a little shop for next week on Sun but will finalise my list later. Starting to get into the swing of meal planning. Will have to maybe do it slightly differently, like have 9 possible meals handy. Stick to it as long as possible and on days when DH just doesn't fancy my choice I have got 1 or 2 alternatives. And rather tha doing a big stock up shop I will go back to little weekly shops and one top up shop as that worked well the last week and a half.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hi all. Sorry I've been awol, been dealing with the little furry creatures that have decided to take up residence in our ceiling and keep us awake until the early hours by scrabbling away
so I've had to spend £75 or so on phoning the council and getting the mouse-control people in, but I would rather do that than spend on traps and stuff that might not work (and then have to go into the loft myself to do it). Feeling blue today, but it's probably just from lack of sleep. Missed my saving target by about £35 this month, mainly due to mice, but I'm up for trying again next month
hope everyone's okay and not missing the sunshine too much.

Evening all,
thrifty - sorry to hear you and OH have been disagreeing and OH has not been helping out. I'm afraid that this is a story echoed by many of my female colleagues.
stewby - I sometimes feel a little like that, I know I am saving to be debt free but I do feel like my life is on hold and its now been two years since I started my journey.
Today was a SFD (number 12 or 13 - need to check my signature) and a meat free day. I have just had my first contact with the exam board to line up work for next year, so fingers crossed that I'll get plenty of work next summer.
