Hi all
Thanks for the kind thoughts and well wishes. I still haven't decided if it was worth going to the doctors or not. It's a new doctor, and she seems really nice. She said she would be completely honest with me because I struck her as a logical and intelligent human being. She says I don't need counselling because my thoughts and emotions are very clear and constructive, and I don't need social services involvement because I'm not struggling with parenting. She said that what I really need is a break and a good night's sleep. I kind of already knew all of that but I'm reassured that I'm doing ok in myself. She also said that there's no right or wrong answer in what I decide to do with regards to him and the kids - it's something I need to work out for myself... Ah well.
Not a NSD because I got the 20% offer on eBay to get DD a Christmas present (some gymnastics sports gear that she wanted) and I went through TCB and saved £9.50 in total.
At least it's half term now - I have no money but I have time off work and full permission from the doctor to sleep as much as I can.Not giving up

Evening all,
ccl please look after yourself, is there anyone who can help you it so that you get a good night's sleep?
lsd phew about the expenses!
Today was payday so I've done the food shopping and got some petrol. Tomorrow I need to work out how much my debt is now down to, it's less than 6k now :j
Tomorrow is a spendy day as I need to go to an appointment and pay for it, but the rest of the day should be a chilled day of doing chores.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

CCL - hope you get some rest and enjoy half term. What you need is a support worker, someone who's job it is to come into your home, make a family meal, clean, do the dishes etc and then leave. I don't know if this type of support is available for mental health cases or not but maybe it should be.
Bob - I'm not a good patient either, I hate being out of action.
Fmess - well done on getting under £6K, I will reach that milestone on the 1st.
LSD - what a relief.
I'm not sure of our plans today but it will involve buying a mop and bucket, a paintbrush and some lightbulbs so not a NSD.
Will check in later on.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning everyone
I hope people are feeling a bit better today. Oldest and youngest DS's have come down with colds. I'm going to tackle the last bit of the flooring today. I hate DIY but have no money, so have to keep at it. The flooring situation has been dire since my renovations project started late april, lol! Take care everyone and have a good day

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I started well with a pretty good night's sleep last night. I feel ok for it, but a bit guilty that I'm just sitting here doing nothing when the house is such a mess etc...
I think I'll do a quick half hour later and then just watch tv and read for the rest of the day. I kind of feel like that's what I need.

Evening all,
I've had a lovely quiet day on the sofaOnly interrupted by a trip to the beauticians where unfortunately I was tempted into a massage (!) as well as my planned/budgeted treatment. It was lovely and I'll just make sure I spend less on something else
I have done lots of forward debt repayment planning today as was starting to feel a bit disappointed that I am struggling to make overpayments. However, I have drawn up 5 scenarios, all of which include me making no overpayments until the new year (so any I do make are a bonus).
Option 1 - is with no overpayments - I will have paid off my loan by Dec 2016 (18 months earlier than my loan term) but I won't pay either credit card before their 0% periods end.
Option 2/3/4 - overpay £50 or £75 or £100 a month - I will pay off my loan early and one credit card before the 0% ends.
Option 5 - overpay £150 a month - all debts cleared by December 2016 :j
Obviously, option 5 is the aim but is only possible if I continue to be frugal for another 14 months and get extra work. However, knowing that I have options 1-4, and seeing it on screen that even without extra income, I will still be debt free in less than 18 months, is reassuring
Hope you've all kept dry today, the weather here has been a wash out.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Fmess - the fact you are planning so tightly means you will be well on top of things when you do have any spare cash to throw at things. It's good to have all the angles covered." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
