hi there.
i am still here. work is in crisis mode so have been working way more than is healthy for me.
have worked tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday. still have saturday to go (meant to be off).
heading on to annual leave but have already agreed to work tuesday.
sadly, i worked no weekends or nights last paycheck... meant my pay was too low to do very much with.
contributing £31 out of my budget account to make my payment up to £230.
it means i probably won't be having a debt-free start to 2016 but i am remaining hopeful.
i am hoping that this months and next months extras will help get the credit card gone in december.
when things are stressful and i am regretting every choice i have ever made, i just need to remember to be positive. this part of the debt is paying off an amazing life experience.
and as much as i get stressed, i really do love my job.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

LSD - hope your DD is better this morning, I was talking to someone yesterday who's daughter was struck down with one of these vomiting bugs and after 5 days of not being able to keep anything down she was put on anti sickness drugs. Hope you don't get to that stage.
It is a bit dull here at the moment but dry and we are planning to go for a walk today. It is a 5 miler that me and DH used to do a long time ago, true to Yorkshire form there is a massive hill up to the moors but I have promised a bag of chips for the kids to share when we get back to the town. The town we are starting from is very nice, there is a lovely sweet shop so the kids can get something for later.
Me and DH are planning to cycle before tea too. Tea is chilli sausages and roasted vegetables.
Checked the bank yesterday and transferred a further £9 to my car expenses account, am hoping there will be a bit more to be transferred somewhere if we come in under our food and fuel budgets.
DD asked me if she could have a school dinner next week but I have to transfer a minimum of £10 to parent pay and she can't pay cash so I will have to say no, I think the minimum amount should be the cost of one days school dinners, £10 is way too much imo.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

9 NSDs under my belt so far...but I now have a 2 week half term to navigate to acquire thw rest! Dd is on half term for 6 of the 10 working days.
Using cash only this month has felt like trying to hold water in my hands! Visits to the cashpoint seem soooo frequent. But I'm noting down every spend and what it was for. And I have spent nothing on myself, as per the rules

Afternoon all,
Had as cheap night as possible yesterday - I drove, the menu was a fixed price (including one drink) and I didn't spend anything elseToday however I went to buy the items to cook for my famil tomorrow (the first time they have ever been to dinner at mine - I moved out over 8 years ago!) and spent a fortune! Although most of it was on alcohol as they always get in my favourite drinks when I go over to them. Budget for this month is therefore blown, however if I take into account the money I made on selling the TV cabinet and if I hadn't had to buy new dog beds, I would have been under. No planned spends until payday on Friday except to contribute to a leaving fund at work.
It's turned dark and dreary here now, which is not inspiring me to mow the lawn. Maybe I'll just walk the dogs then snuggle on the sofa all afternoon
Well done to everyone being so MSE, you all keep me motivated everyday and I'm sure I'd fall off the wagon if it wasn't for reading your postsLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Have had a lovely walk and a bag of chips (DD had to have ice cream to be different), had a look in the CS and gasped at the ridiculous price of things and didn't buy anything. I did have a NPI over a knitted waistcoat for £2.50, one of the more reasonably priced items, but seeing as I set the rules this month and I don't need it I left it there.
Have sold an item on ebay, after fees and postage we will have £3.67, also received a £2 Debenhams voucher in the post, I have a store card with them and they give points which convert to vouchers, I will use this when Christmas shopping probably.

Hey all, apologies for not posting for a few days, got caught up at work. Two days off now and not planning on going anywhere so hopefully two NSDs as well.
I did my top up shop Wednesday and got heaps of food for the last of my shopping budget. Really chuffed too as I got eight yogurts which were reduced yay! I'm really enjoying being back on the budgeting wagon, I've been so carefree with spending the last year it's better to feel more in control again. I'm also over halfway to paying for my debts so just reminding myself how far I've come in difficult circumstances and I need to be proud of myself for that.
Have a good weekend everyone, I'm obviously watching rugby all weekend - Mon the Scots!0 -
apple - do you get 2 weeks off for this half term?
Yep! We went back on 1st September and go until 16th Dec. As an independent school, we get 3 more weeks over the whole year than the state schools, and used to get 3 weeks at Christmas, which has been shortened, which I think is daft. A previous Head decided we had to come into line with other school in our borough, so pushed for us to have 2 weeks. Dd gets a week, as we live in another county!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sorry, not posted for a few days - been super busy at work and have felt too tired in the evenings to write a post.
Am now up to 10 NSDs, today should be one too. Will get the weekly shop tomorrow - need to write out a shopping list.
Just about to settle on the sofa and watch the rugby, hope everyone is having a good day.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77
