Just received 5 star service again, too.
Why would it be too good to be true? It is what it is.
Just an update. Whole switch completed within four working days. I applied on Saturday, new tariff up and running on Monday. The only thing i hadn't expected was the unit rates updated on my smart display. Gas has been updated but not electricity rate. But i hadn't expected them to be updated so soon, in any case.
Come on, you're slacking, EON :rotfl:
I've also received my Warm Home Discount payment which i always receive at the beginning of September with EON.
Thanks EON

Morning f&w
Glad we're looking after you. I'll have to have a word with the Smart team about the gas though. Can't have them letting the side down. :rotfl:
We've started making Warm Home Discount payments for 2015/16 and these'll carry on weekly until March 2016. Pleased yours has arrived now.
Have a good day.

sorry,I don't understand how to make new thread.
I've come on here to ask how you actually go about making the big switch-i've had the email, done the comparison, made the decision, but what is the next step ?0 -
On the Cheapeneryclub website, click on the button marked "Switch & Get Cashback" on the right of the box showing the tariff you want.0

It's the electricity rate but it's always slower to follow the gas rate. I didn't expect either to be updated the first working day afterwards, in any case.
It's worth noting the smart display doesn't include VAT.
Perhaps your next improvement could be displays which include VAT? :rotfl:
Mind you, i'm told mine is an outdated display and i'm waiting for it to break for a replacement. Perhaps i should jump up and down on it, so i can get a new one? Hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudgeFred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

You're right f&w. The Smart Energy Display doesn't take into account VAT or any discounts you receive. As a result, your bills will be a bit different to the amount you see on your display.
Bad news, it's the same with the latest version of the display too. Something else I better raise.

Hi, if i'm switching from E.ON to E.ON and currently have a debit balance will this have to be cleared or can it rollover?0
-
No, that's fine brianhuevo. Changing from one E.ON tariff to another doesn't affect the way your account's set up. You'll have the same account number and the balance you mention will carry on as will any payment arrangement you've set up. Provided you've opted in, you'll continue to earn E.ON Reward Points too.
Similarly, if you've registered with our website, the log in details and email address will stay the same unless you choose to change them.
There's no exit fee when moving from one E.ON product to another but one thing that will be affected is Price Alerts. They don't apply to this tariff as it's a standalone product and there won't be future versions.
Hope this eases your mind a little brianhuevo. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

please help
hi i being rather impatient did not take advice of eon rep and continued to accept the connection.
i have not had any email from eon as yet , but i have had email from credit expert welcoming me about signing up for a free trial . this has come out of the blue as i have not signed up with them. then being frantic i clicked on spam and have lost this email , so i cannot see any ref. no or forward it on to credit expert.
i have had an email from energy club saying my switch is in progress.
does switching affect credit report?????
do they do a credit check?????Nice to save.0 -
Thanks James for the advice I have now completed the application to switch to E on Have received 2 emails confirming my application
I have got the meter readings for a full year . I was paying £84 per month and my payment has been reduced to £66
I am concerned I may not be paying enough. I did have £175 refunded to my current account towards the end of last year.
Currently my account with M&S shows I am in credit so presumably they will refund this when the account is closed
I will be away for 39 days Dec/Jan so whilst I leave my heating on low setting I will obviously use less Electricity than usual.
I was wary of switching but now that I have made the switch I am happy to have done so. Thanks again Sue n0 -

Hi rabialiones
It can take a few days for the information to reach us but as soon as we've the details we'll send a Welcome Pack. This will have all the information about the switch and the tariff. Once you have this pack, you can register with our website. This will let you use the 'Track My Switch' tool to keep an eye on how things are going. It usually takes about two and half weeks for the switch to go through.
To switch to the MSE Collective Tariff, you do need to sign up to the 'Cheap Energy Club' and apply through there. Sorry, but not sure what you mean about signing up for a free trial. I'd take up MSE Dan's offer in post 82 above and email energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com for advice.
As you're switching supplier to us, we will do a credit check.
Hope this helps rabialiones.
