Again, will there be another MSE offer before winter sets in ?
  • I don't think anyone can answer that?

As for me - no email from CEC but I've had one from E-on so it's all okay :)
  • Have done an Eon to Eon move (on 12th Sept) and had the CEC initial email but still nothing from Eon - should I be worried? When I log into my online account it still shows my existing tariff..
  • Hi let the wookie win

Have you received any emails from us yet? Collective switches are handled manually and can take a bit longer to hit our systems. As an existing customer, I'd expect your switch to have updated within 3-5 working days of you receiving the email from the CEC. It can, though, take up to 14 working days.

Another thing to be aware of is, sometimes, security settings on computers are set high. This can lead to our emails being disliked and dumped into junk/spam folders or automatically deleted. Not saying this is the case here, it's just something to be aware of.

If you haven't received anything from us yet and your online account still shows the old tariff, drop an email to the address in my Profile. I'll be happy to take a look.

  • hi, i have received letter about warm home discount scheme, and have just changed over to eon.
who will give me the discount, eon or previous supplier?
    Nice to save.
  • Hi rabialiones

Do you know if you're eligible for Warm Home Discount under the Core Group or Broader Group?

Customers eligible under the Core Group automatically receive the discount from whoever supplied their electricity on 12 July 15. It doesn't matter you've changed supplier since. If you're in this group, you'll have received a letter from the Department of Works and Pension (DWP) to let you know.

If, though, you qualify under the Broader Group, you'll need to apply to us to see if you're eligible under our scheme. Different suppliers have different eligibility conditions and applications can't be transferred between suppliers. We're taking applications now and you can do this through our website or by phoning in.

Whilst looking at this, check out if you're eligible for the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) too. This is another Government led scheme that aims to cut usage by providing help with energy saving stuff like loft and cavity wall insulation. Again, there are more details on our website.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction rabialiones. Let me know if you need any more details as happy to help.

    Morning rabialiones

Having received a letter from the DWP, it looks as though you're in the Core Group. This means, whoever supplied your electricity on 12 July 15, will pay you the £140. It doesn't matter you've changed supplier.

I can't speak for other suppliers but, for our Core Group customers, we write to confirm we'll be making the payment and how. Where our Core customers have left us after 12 July 15, we'll usually send them a cheque. Unless, that is, they've an outstanding balance. In these cases, the payment will go towards this.

As I say, this is what we do. Your old supplier might do something different so best to have a word with them just to check.

    Hope this helps rabialiones.
