  • Having cancelled on Monday 22nd, so 5 days ago, I logged into my account via my TV for the first time ever yesterday, and have an invite there for 50% off my current TV bundle (no account credit etc, just the 50%). I don't want my current bundle anyway, if I decide to stay I want to upgrade to Box Sets, but to be honest, having been looking around recently, when you look at the various deals you can get (both as a new Sky customer, particular via the recent MSE deal, or with other providers), I actually might go through with it and leave.

I wouldn't accept anything less than 50% as a minimum for TV

Broadband/line rental is really hit and miss tbh. But you don't have to have both with SKY which is a bonus.

From reading the last 10 or so pages of this thread, I can see that we should all be looking for at least 50%, but who has got more than that? People on the recent / current MSE deal, and some people who actually let the cancellation go through then got 60%, but has anyone who has cancelled then accept a deal before being cut off achieved any more than 50%? Perhaps just with a £50 credit on top?

Just rang their call centre to see what they could offer me to stay. My bill is s now 68 for the last 2 months of contract, the offered me £14 off 😞. Told them this was no good and got offered anothe £2 advised him I wanted to cancel as after being long term customer etc but no got nothing he went ahead and confirmed cancellation.

Logged into my interactive my account and got offered 50% off to stay for 12 months 👍🏻. Does this mean for next 12 months it will be 34? Also anyone know how long it takes to update and send confirmation etc?

I cancelled a couple of weeks ago. Was previously on a 60% deal and they offered to match it while on the cancellation chat. Turned it down though as last year I also got £50 credit and no 12 month contract so want that again as well!

You won't get better than 60%, sometimes you can' get too greedy

I think my deal last year proves your statement wrong.

60% and £50 credit is better than 60% is it not?

Let us know how you get on then when your contract lapses.

I've just been on live chat to cancel my tv package (phone and BB are with Plusnet). It wasn't available for a few days as they were making changes and sure enough there was a change. After you've entered your name they give you three options, I can't remember them verbatim but they are something like 'find out about offers', 'proceed with cancellation' and I think the last was 'other'.

I selected 'process cancellation' as this has been my successful route before at getting a 50% off offer and I am looking at other options after doing a channel audit and realising I watch very few sky only channels.

They were very keen to have someone from the retentions team call to discuss my options but I said I wanted to carry on with the cancellation on chat so it got sorted there and then.

I was pleased with this option as I didn't want to go through the rigmarole of discussing offers etc although there were quite long delays between messages so it took longer than it should have done, I reckon they're talking to more than one person at a time.

Anyway, it was quicker than it has been on previous occasions so good result. Will be interested to see what offers my come through, if any.

I am a very long standing Sky subscriber (over 15 years ) - which is usually a good selling point when it comes to haggle time !

I have been on 50% off TV deal for last 12 months, as well as half price line rental and fibre.
Just rang to see what they can offer as the deals have finished, and all he could offer was 20%. I said I am leaving as Virgin offer was very good. (they are doing Fibre, Sports + movies +extra box for £67) or £57 if I don't want movies.

Cancelled Sky a week ago, but have had no offers since. I presume it would show in My Offers when log into MySky ?
I was surprised not to be offered half price TV at a minimum.
