I haven't logged on to MySky once since cancelling - I wouldn't be surprised if they monitor that. Got a couple of text messages before cancellation and a couple of missed calls a couple of weeks after. I think their win back activity will increase once the April price rise is out of the way.

Is this usual? Am I likely to be contacted closer to the 31 day notice deadline or do Sky really not care about losing customers any more?0

Presumably someone at a high level in Sky will have a KPI based on increase/decrease in subscriber numbers, so they will start to sweat on bonus levels for the next year !!0 -
I had my scheduled follow up call today from Sky. They said the best they could offer for Signature was £15, so I said I’d continue with the cancellation. £15/month will go some way towards rising utility bills!0

I put my notice in and let Sky TV cancel (was still on the broadband). It finished on Friday, so from bed on Saturday morning I contacted them on chat to see what they could offer.Initial offer wasn’t too far away from what they’d offered me when I cancelled. I mentioned that the equipment wasn’t very good (still on Sky HD) and so he offered a free upgrade to Q. I then asked if that meant 4K and he said it didn’t, but then changed the offer to a 4K box at an extra £1 p/m. After adding Netflix, which I already subscribe to separately, the offer I accepted was:
Signature + Sports + Cinema + Netflix with a new 4K box for £45 per month
It may have helped that I have 13 years with them (and the VIP didn’t drop because of the broadband).2 -
I’ve just signed up for an additional 18 months.
My current contract expires in May and costs £91.50. Sky wanted to raise the price to £140.50.
I currently get Sky landline, ultra fast broadband, Anytime Talk, general TV package, Sky Sports, HD, an additional box upstairs and Netflix. No Kids, no Movies.
It took 20 minutes to get through, although they had warned of up to an hour’s wait. I spoke to a person overseas who said the best deal was £106.50. I explained that I could build a deal through Sky’s adverts on Facebook and Instagram for £93 and that I could build a deal with BT through social media to include Sky Sports through Now for £89. I was determined to take this negotiating lark seriously!
As a result, without me asking at that point, although I was going to do so, I was put through to a more senior colleague in the UK. His best offer was £103.50 but I decided to ditch Netflix (which I never watch) and agreed a final price of £97.50.
I also got the one-off charge down from £30 to £10, which still grates, but don’t feel I could have done better.
Perhaps I should have waited until a week or so before my original contract end of mid-May as - as others have said - more and more people are going to look to save money elsewhere due to the power price surges. Perhaps Sky will become a bit more receptive to calls like mine due to the growing number of them? In hindsight, I think it’s probably worth hanging on for a little while in case this happens. But I didn’t!
One final point - I always use Martin’s other sites to point me towards the best deals for insurances, SIM card deals and, when it was possible, power prices, and time after time they save me serious money, for which I am really grateful. Would it not be possible, please, for Martin and his colleagues to do the same with satellite TV deals? It’s usually a battle of wits for people like me to get a good deal, and I fancy myself as a negotiator! If Martin could do centralised deals to benefit all of us, that would be great.Good Luck to you all!1 -
Just received the latest offer from Sky in the post today. Cancellation period ends April 10th.
These offers are valid until 21st April 2022.
Sky for £15/month for 18 months, with a £10 admin fee.
Also on offer (on reverse of letter), Netflix £5, F1 £12, Sky Cinema £6.
You should not pay the full advertised price for Sky.

"Letter" today base + sports for £27 / 18 months. I knew you had it in you Sky, well done.

From what I can work out in the small print, HD would be another £8. Cinema is quoted as an extra £6, Netflix £5 or BT Sport £28.
