Tanns said:Cancelled 28 days ago, had a couple of calls and a couple of letters through the post. Jumped on the chat a couple of times and rejected their deals.
This evening, jumped on the chat and managed to get the deal below. Was paying £68 for virtually same deal.Could have followed through with cancellation and got a better deal but have been with sky for 14 years and didn’t want to be without service.Happy!0 -
if you don't take HD, what channels do you actually lose as some are standard?0

Called up today and spoke to Lynne. Currently paying £19/month for SkyQ basic package. Been with Sky for about 10 years. Cancelled with 31 days notice. Let's wait and see!0

I was told by a Sky CS rep a few months ago that I was on a legacy Sky Q package and paying too much. I rang CS today and ended up being offered a new contract for the same products for £2.50 per month more!0

Phoned today as I am not prepared to pay £63 to watch F1 and Netflix in 2 rooms of my house.
The regular team could only knock £2.80 off and so I went to retentions who actually wanted to charge me £68 for locking me into a new 18 month contract.
I cancelled and if they do not come back with a much better offer will get NowTV Sport (£20) and Netflix (15.99) separately thereby saving around £300 to go towards my energy bills!!To infinity and beyond!0 -

Sky had raised my subscription for a fairly basic package (TV & broadband), so I checked deals available for new Sky customers and from other suppliers. If I was a new Sky customer I could get TV/Box Sets/faster broadband/Netflix for £15 less than my current package or TV/Fast Broadband/Phone from Virgin for £20 less than I was paying. I went online to Sky (took a while) but after some negotiation, I got a package with: Signature TV/Box sets/faster broadband/phone for £15 less than I was paying, adding this to what I will save on my phone landline adds up to a saving of £750 over the 18 month contract. I am not one of life's natural hagglers, but going online was easier for me as I didn't feel pressured to reply immediately, I've found when I've called Sky in the past they bombard you with figures for various packages and it's difficult to work out if you are saving anything! Negotiating works.0

I submitted my notice to leave Sky a week ago after being with them for 19 years. So far I have received no email, or offers of any kind on MySky to try and keep me as a customer. Is this usual? Am I likely to be contacted closer to the 31 day notice deadline or do Sky really not care about losing customers any more?0
