Update, so the url is indeed a deal. So if anyone gets same issue, use the chat, say you got a message for the deal and post the url you get like I did...Paying £52 now for all channels except kids and extra box.Yes, could have held out for longer but needed to get the missus off my back.
Once thing I did find out thats annoying, I dont use Sky Q. They wont allow me to add an extra sky box onto contract, yet I have the cabling etc in place...

Probably too late now, but they tried that with me last time and I just told them it was a dealbreaker. I can either use my second box or Sky wasn't worth anything to me. Magically, they were able to enable the second box after all.
She would always like to say,
Why change the past when you can own this day?

What number do you use to contact the winback team
  • Been with Sky for 13 years. Currently paying £48 a month for the following Sky services (and paying Netflix separately £13.99 a month):

    Sky Entertainment = £31
    Sky Box Sets = £5
    Sky Kids = £5
    Sky HD = £7

i remember same package for my last 18 months contract was £28 and £20 before that (all this as result of haggling). But all those times I took the first offer they gave and never proceeded to cancel the service, so maybe even those offers I paid too much for.

Anyway I called to cancel now and guy offered me….

    Sky Signature
    Sky HD
    Netflix
    He took out Sky Kids

    ….for £31 a month.

I said no way and cancelled few days ago (no one called me back yet). It’s a bit of a non offer. Sky Signature with Sky HD and Netflix shouldn’t be more than £25 a month right (at least based on offers I see from other people)?

I see there’s a clear pattern here. The package price offers (after haggling) went from £20 to £28 to £31 now. Maybe I should have never allowed them to increase it from £20 to £28 last time….I should have just cancelled the service and wait for a better offer rather than take the first one offered. Maybe now that they can see my history, they’ll be like “he paid £28 in the past, no way we give it to him for £25”

Hi, I'm kind of new to the forums. I'm mainly firmly planted in the 'debt-free wannabe' forum as I'm struggling massively with income shortfall on a monthly basis which has put me in a very stressful position. I am looking for any ways to help cut my costs.

My sky package started off 4 years ago as a new customer at £68 per month. That was for sky q + phone + broadband. (I had tried the whole 'I need a cheaper package or I will leave' but ended up disconnecting from my previous property and getting a new package at my new home). It has increased year on year and is now at a ridiculous £122 a month.

I would like to call and try to find a cheaper deal on a similar package. Any tips would be great.

No wonder you have an income shortfall, you're paying it mostly to Sky.

What exactly are you on at the moment (TV & BB/phone package) and what can you do without?

Have a look at the previous couple of pages at least to get an idea of what you should be paying. I'm guessing you've not renegotiated for awhile with them?
  • I called Sky on the day my contract term ended and used the forum haggle tips to seek a discount. I told the agent I was looking to reduce the cost given general pressure in household budgets and had compared the same package with Virgin Media who would charge £88 monthly (I was paying £111). Pretty easy discussion and secured a price match to retain all my current package ( Entertainment TV, full sports, multi room and fibre broadband) and will receive an upgraded router and added Netflix allowing me to save that subscription switching existing account to sky deal. Overall £650 saving on contract term of 18 months. Thanks to the team for the tips and tactics!
Don't blame me, I voted Monster Raving Loony!:rotfl:

Managed to secure the following deal on existing Sky Q multi room via phone call with cancellations team saying the price was too high (was going up to £53/month)

    Sky Signature
    Sky HD
    Sky 4K
    Sky multiroom (two additional boxes)

    Total £37/month for 18 months
She waived the £10 admin fee without me asking

This is slightly higher than the expiring £35/month deal that I've been on previously but haven't been able to haggle a better deal with them and price seems similar to what others have reported.

It will go up by 10% during that time though so this is likely to be the last time I renew (been with them 4 years now)

If Yupp TV ever get their act together then I'd leave Sky quite quickly but the reviews still don't seem great for Yupp compared to Sky.

Cancelled my Sky TV & Broadband today to try and get a better deal from them!
Fingers Crossed!  It's worked in the past.   But not sure on their policies these days?   Really don't want to leave sky, i like the Sky Q box!
The best they could offer me was £94 for 18 months.
That was for Sky Sports & BT Sport, HD Pack, SkyQ Box & usual sky channels + Basic Fibre Broadband (25mbps download where i am, rural village)
No Netflix, No Sky Movies. No Multiroom.
What's the best i can expect for those options?
Now Here, waiting for Sky to Call !!
