What is the best way to cancel Sky TV?
I see a number 0333 759 1540 - as soon as I told the robot I want to cancel (at 8.30pm) the  robot told me they were shut at 8pm. The website provided this number as being still available at 8.30pm.
My contract end date is 30/5/2021.
    I am currently paying
    12 Feb - £27.50
    12 April - £30.50
    12 May - £43.39
My account shows; Sky Cinema, Sky Entertainment, Sky HD, Sky Box Sets
I've not asked for it or confirmed it, but they have applied Sky Diamond Rewards
How to I stipulate that I want to cancel according to the 31 days notice, to end on 30 May?
    What do I do?

    Thanks for any help.
phone them on 03300 413 018 or 0333 202 2135, ask to be put through to the cancellations department, tell them you are giving them their 31 days notice now that you are cancelling your contract and not renewing, this will then end your contract on the 30th may, note 31 days is the minimum amount of time they require so you can phone up 2mrow if you want, just make sure you do it 32 days before the 30th may
I just called the number you gave me up 0330 041 3018 - got through to cancellations. They priced the same package but with 'Signature' at £30. So I accepted another 18 month contract.

Well it’s time to renegotiate this deal but guessing it’s not going to be easy! 😬

That is a VERY rare deal (~75% discount??) - not much chance of getting anywhere near this time - but it'll make the haggle interesting !!

Yes, you are right, no chance! Have set cancellation in motion (as usual!) and will see what happens next. The reason this was so cheap was due to buying a TV which had a reduced price sky offer with it. It effectively reduced the monthly price of the deal I’d just negotiated 18 months ago by £31 per month which I used to part offset the new TV cost.

The TV deal explains it ! Didn't think I'd seen reports above ~ 60% discount equivalent for some time - I had to work hard to get just over 50% off a year ago.

So I managed to get on one of their Black Friday deals a couple of years ago which has now expired, so my £30 odd a month crept up to £50, and is now jumping up to £80.

Called Sky this morning, had ammo behind me about their 'new customer' deals and prices, as well as a quote from Virgin having spoken to them, with the same deal essentially for £55p/m.

They said they couldn't get anywhere lower than £63 and thats stretching it.

As this was the first offer, and the first person i'd spoken to, I told him id like to progress with the cancellation.

Whats the usual next step here? Is it just waiting to see if they get in touch with an offer? How do they usually come currently  (if at all?)

I'm still in contact until January 2022 on my tv package. Is it worth trying to renegotiate on the phone and broadband package?

We've realised we hardly watch any SKY channels anymore, we're basically paying for the ability to record TV. A now tv package (from sky) including fast broadband and all calls costs less thank half of what I'm paying now!

    Hi,
My black Friday deal is due to expire and will see my bill rise from £85 to £145.
Has anyone managed a decent discount lately on the below packages?

    Thanks
    Barry
  • We finally got our !!!!!! in gear and sorted out our extortionate Sky bill of £103, that was for the total bundle, TV, phone & broadband.

We phoned up and said that our bill was extortionate and what deal could they offer, as being with Sky for over 12 years, we didn’t want to move but looking around and what others could offer for a similar service lowest we saw was £25 per month upwards on comparison websites, however we were happy to at least get the bill down to half of what we were paying and managed to save £48 over 18 month contract, with an upgraded WiFi hub and new Sky Q box all for free saving us £576 for the year, which will go towards the increase in council tax this year - after the call the other half was then thinking we should of gone even lower........
    Thank you MSE
  • Rang sky last week as our black Friday deal comes to an end at the beginning of June and the best they could come up with was £102 which is A fiver less than current !!!
That was with the cancellation department,  so they said they could not do it for less so I have given them 30 days notice of cancellation.
Your haggling tips did not work. I told them a cable company can give me more for a lot less but they would not budge!!.

  • @P38auto I renewed on a similar package TV only though... No idea if ids any good but if it helps benchmark it.
