Just reduced to £35.40.....
Until I got him to confirm that the Broadband was Fibre and he brought it back up to £45.40. Pfft.
Time to try BT.0 -
Our bill has gone from £45 to £68
We are out if contract so i called this evening, they offered to take our bill back down to £48.
We had BB, line rental, TV variety package.
I was hoping to get a better deal. Am I asking too much? Lol0 -
I just called to cancel Virgin XL package and the retentions team offered me a retention deal of £61.00.
I currently pay £58 on mates rates. I'm subsequently serving my 30 day notice.0 -
I tried to get a deal with sky but the computer said no was told there were no deals available even though I wanted to switch my line rental and calls over from BT.
Probably cause my contract does not end till march for my broadband and tv.
Would it be worth trying again in march when my contract ends ?0 -

The fact that you are still in a minimum term with BT should not affect Sky's offer on phone/bb, as , if you leave early, it is you who will have to pay cease charges to BT.However, they could , perhaps, not believe that you will be willing to risk cease penalties so are not a genuine applicant.
As you are still in minimum term for tv,they will not improve on that offer, as you are committed to paying whatever has been agreed, as a minimum.0 -
Sky phone and bb (customer 9 years).
Got switched to weekend package (+ £4 pm) and line rental increase (+£1 pm) in December. March 2016, free bb offer ends and penalty for not have sky TV will see the cost rise still further.
Got through to retentions who offered:
Free bb for another year and downgrade the package, saving £4.
Not expecting a lot but compare this to the plusnet deal, it's sky 0, plusnet 1.

4 days with no Sky, no phone/online/postal offers yet. As I mentioned previously though I am expecting contact around 3 weeks' time. It's a well thought out period of time, that way they weedle out those who are going to get in touch of their own accord ("can't do without it" types).
I am guessing they'll put the TV prices up in March as well (think they did in March 2015) , so with any offer I'll be looking for no contract.
95% of the most watched programmes are on Freeview (except the ones that Sky blocks when the TV goes off e.g. Dave which we can get through the aerial anyway). Can honestly say we are not missing it - £45 effectively just for the Sport is a rip off.0
