This is the problem - they don't cave in - at least their CHAT team don't - maybe they don't have the ability or permissions to cancel this charge - or perhaps Sky have just got too big for their boots and know that we are stuck with them - no matter what they charge !!
I am still waiting for a reply from the CEO - Don't hold out much hope though !

Wait a few days for a response. For me, someone phoned me a few days after my em and gave me refund for their admin fee.

Sky seem to be playing silly games at the moment. People just need to play the game back.

Just cancelled sky, they offered me full tv package on Sky Q, 2 rooms, 4k etc for 75 a month over 18 months but wanted a 115 activation fee.

They did offer half price tv for 12 months to carry on with my existing package.

Anyone been offered anything better, been Sky customer for 5/6 years and normally cancel and get 12 months half price for another year.

Did enquire about adding BB/Telephone to package but didn't make a difference.
    £115 activation fee - really ?
Thats a new one on me
They charged me £10 activation fee - on an already activated system - I am trying to get this reimbursed

Hi I've been offered a discount and want to run it by people here.

    I'm currently paying £68.99 a month :
    Variety tv £32
    Phone line £18.99
    Talk Anytime £8.00
    Broadband unlimited £10

I want to keep the tv and phone packages the same, but change broadband to fibre. They said they can do it for £45 a month (they will charge me £53 a month then credit £8 back) and it will be an 18 month contract.

My concern is that I won't get a new sky box and mine is 3 1/2 years old and out of warranty. They said they would give me a new one if it breaks even though the warranty has run out but I don't see that in writing anywhere. Also I keep the current hub as they said that's fine for the higher speed broadband?

I don't know if this is a good deal or not, any ideas?

I cancelled with sky and its due to end on 31 August. I got a call today and the guy said he would see what he could do pricewise. After a few minutes of checking he said that th original offer was the best he could do, so a completely pointless call!

They asked if I'd a actually booked with anyone new and I said no, so maybe they're calling my bluff? Anyway he said he'd take me off the list now so I won't get anymore calls, so I might as well go ahead and actually switch I suppose?

Don't forget that Skys new T&C allow them to increase the price by 10% per year (without bringing into effect the free cancellation clause) - which you can guarantee they will..................

LOL. Hold on in there. No one will die as a result of no TV for a couple of days. :)

quick question, i put in a cancellation on 3rd July, service is due to end tomorrow, but when i look at the bill online they are charging me for 13 days pro rata for TV BUT the phone & BB is being billed for the full month? I signed up for TV & BB at the same time when i originally started the contract. When on to live chat and they said that tv & broadband is ending tomorrow.
