... I'm not liking this '£10 admin charge' ... Its a sneaky way of saying 'really its £50 per month, but we'll let you have it for £45 a month, but £10 admin fee' ... I havent done the maths to make that add up but you get the picture :)
I agree with you - what other company do you know that tries to charge its long term customers for keeping on with the same contract as previous ?
12 million customer at £10 every 18 months (or when your contract expires) is a huge amount of extra revenue for sky .....
OK It may be a small sum - and a one off for each customer - but it is unfair and should be stopped by the regulator.......

Complain via em to their ceo Jeremy Darroch and wait for a few days. I got a call back from Sky who refunded the admin fee back to me.

Just refuse to pay it in the first place, they will cave first.

I did refuse to pay. The sky agent said that he could not refund me as I already had the maximum credit on my account. Hence the reason that I escalated to their ceo.

Does anyone know if they are supposed to switch off your second box if you have multiscreen and transfer to Sky Q? I signed up to transfer to Q on 27/7 and the agent never mentioned anything about it. But as soon as I put the phone down the second box only shows Freeview channels and none of the packaged ones.

Numerous phone calls later and I'm told this is 'entirely normal' and I will only get services resumed on that box when the installer sets up Q on 3 August. So I've been nearly a week without it and with kids off etc its a total joke. They even said 'we don't need to tell you its in the T&Cs' but I've been through them 10 times without any mention. Anyone had this before? Thanks

I cancelled a couple of weeks ago. I've got unlimited fibre and landline along with box sets and sport HD Currently paying £63 and offer ended.

I had a couple of callls, best I've been offered is £65 a month for the same. No credit at all this year unlike last. Mentioned the Talktalk deal and they've accepted and removed me from marketing calls she said at the end of the call.

Can't decide whether to take Talk deal before it expires or wait cancellation and see what comes our way after. Assuming anything since I've been removed from marketing!

Get marketing restarted otherwise you won't see any offers.

This is the problem - they don't cave in - at least their CHAT team don't - maybe they don't have the ability or permissions to cancel this charge - or perhaps Sky have just got too big for their boots and know that we are stuck with them - no matter what they charge !!
I am still waiting for a reply from the CEO - Don't hold out much hope though !
  • Just cancelled sky, they offered me full tv package on Sky Q, 2 rooms, 4k etc for 75 a month over 18 months but wanted a 115 activation fee.

They did offer half price tv for 12 months to carry on with my existing package.

Anyone been offered anything better, been Sky customer for 5/6 years and normally cancel and get 12 months half price for another year.

Did enquire about adding BB/Telephone to package but didn't make a difference.
