  • Hi newbie here just having discovered this wonderful place and looking for advice please.

I am currently on a £35 month contract (6 months left) with o2 and thinking of phoning up to cancel or get them to put me on the rolling sim deal. Also though like the look of the new k850i thats out in a few weeks. Do you think I should go on a rolling sim untill then or hold tight and try and use possible cancellation for leverage in getting new phone and improved tariff. Can I wait another few weeks before trying to cancel.

    Advice appreciated, thanks.

You only have 30 days from receiving notice of the change in which to cancel your contract.

Once the 30 days have passed, then you are seen to have accepted the change.

    Wrong.
You have 30 days to raise your objection it might take few days in question answer etc.
If you coem to conclusion that thye cannot offer you a good deal and you need PAC then u still have 30 days to use th PAC from the day it issued.
What if a person is on holidays for 3 weeks? he cant sort everything in just 1 week.
you have to take action in 30 days it could be possible that the action (transfering PAC) finishes 45 days after they informing you.

Can I ask whether people used the PAC code to cancel or actually just terminated the contract without requesting or using the PAC?

BTW I have phoned O2 Pay & Go and they say that they dont charge to issue a PAC from Pay & Go and there is no minimum period you have to had the Pay & Go for before asking for it.

I have my PAC code but juts prior to this I emailed to cancel as I was fed up waiting for the PAC. What should I do now? Wait for a reply from the email or just use the PAC onto Pay & Go?
  • I used PAc

Did you have it in writing that the contract was being terminated with no penalty?
