yaa yaa yaa and i take his wordings. thing is that define the scope of many or some word depend on individuals and each case
A good percentage of O2 customers are business customer. my comp has also given me an o2 phone i hardly used it to call 08 nos(only for official calls)
I dont think business customer will leave. so in a way probably many customer are not leaving.
and the CS team will come to know only in next month / quarter when thye will have some internal communication (if they have such practise) about business performance.
Also statistics are always presented in a way that picture looks rosy.
If u remember 5 years ago every network provider was claiming thousands of new customer but basically they didnt told us how many existing customer they lost to competitor0 -
No text/letter here regarding the changes on my Business contract.0

I'm 5 months into an 18 month online contract £30 per month. Still no text or letter so when I rang today the guy I spoke to said I don't need to wait for a letter or text I can cancel without penalty now.
As others have pointed out the 'simplicity' they offer to downgrade you to is for the remainder of your contract, in my case another 13 months not 30 days as on the O2 website. I asked for my PAC and intend to sign up as a new customer to Simplicity and as such only be tied in for 30 days.0 -

as goodwill o2 are offering the simplity tariffs for the remainder of the contract therefore reduceing your line rental by minimum of 10.00 a month. but it is for the rest of the contract so if you have 6 months left you are still in contract for 6 months but on lower rate.
The Simplicity tariff has a month's notice on it, from what I can see, not 11 in my case, and is exactly the same amount of minutes and pounds as I have at present on my other contract. Compare 3 offering two and a half times as many minutes for £15.
For me, it isn't only the increase that is the problem, but also the deceitful letter I have from someone in the marketing department, insulting the intelligence of customers and implying that these numbers cost O2 more than other network mobiles.0 -
Has anyone got some advice on what to do next i recieved this back from 02
Hello *****
Thanks for your email about the change to your tariff allowance. I'm sorry you're not happy with the information weve provided.
From the 28th of September, calls to non-geographical numbers (e.g. non-residential numbers such as 0845) won't be included in your tariff allowance. Here's a link with details on call charges to these numbers:
http://www.o2.co.uk/mobilestariffs/tariffs/specialnumbers
This change has been made to bring us in line with the rest of the industry. We're the last network to remove these numbers from our tariffs.
This is a change to the terms you agreed to at the point of order and I can understand your concerns. Under your current terms, you have the right to end your agreement without termination fees if any changes result in a significant disadvantage. Here's a link to your terms (see 8.4 C):
http://www.o2.co.uk/assets/O2HybridNav/Static-files/PDFs/newcontract.pdf
However, you've never made any calls to these numbers so this change doesn't affect your usage. Therefor, you won't experience a significant disadvantage.
Your minimum terms expire in October 2008 and if you choose to cancel early, a termination fee will apply. This consists of the remaining line rental from now until October 2008.
You've been a loyal customer and we'd hate to lose you. However, if you'd like more information on cancelling, you can call our cancellations department directly on 0870 600 7102.
I hope I've been able to clarify things. If you need any more help, please reply to this email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
When you email us please provide: your date of birth, postcode and mobile number as it helps us answer your query faster.
Kind regards

I have one contract I don't want to cancel, as it's paid upfront for life, including these numbers.
The Simplicity tariff has a month's notice on it, from what I can see, not 11 in my case, and is exactly the same amount of minutes and pounds as I have at present on my other contract. Compare 3 offering two and a half times as many minutes for £15.

Am nt 2 sure what you mean, but for most people (I dare say everyone), the simplicity tariff will tie them in to the remainder of their contract.(this refers to the offer from O2 customer service when a customer tries to cancel and they offer him the simplicity tariff as an alternative) I do believe that the online simplicity sim only tariff being offered is indeed a monthly contract.
I totally agree with you that O2 going the wrong way about this by sayin that no other network are offering NGNs for free. I find this to be a very lame argument!!!0 -

Tell them that they cannot foresee how many of these minutes you will use in the future as the main reason to take the contract out in the first place was because these numbers were inclusive.
You have to come across as nice but firm.
And tell them that your wife is going back to work now and you will be calling her on NGN.
Also, that with the new football season, you will be calling up to book tickets.0 -

I do believe that a lot of individuals have business contracts. I would have taken one up back in the days if I had bothered! These people will probably think of cancelling unless they are offered better deals.0 -
I remember someone talking about O2 senior management team were going to have a meeting regarding the impact this change in the terms and conditions was having, does anyone know if this meeting has taken place yet?0

I'm on the old Best for Business 250 tariff where you get 250 X Network mins plus an extra 250 X Network mins free, I get free unlimited off peak calls to any network and 1000 texts.
I got the dreaded text and letter a few days ago!!0
