sorry for dumb ques but which clause in t&c says that u cannot use over ride number to call. and isn't 0844 is an override number. what is an override number? if this mean calls that goes to outside uk then many call centre number 0870 / 0845 are also diverted to india.
I am not trying to argue. perhaps you have given a very useful information but I am tryinfg to understand this.

Not a good idea to tell them you are using the NGN numbers to call overseas. I'm sure calling over-ride providers would not count as technically you are breaking their T&C. You're better off saying you need them to call companies that use 08 numbers.0 -

I haven't actually read the full O2's T&C, but in the past people have been saying that you are not supposed to use over-ride providers. Maybe O2 aren't as forceful as Vodafone who are always 1st to block call-through numbers. How do they justify blocking these numbers? It's because it affects their revenue on international calls.
Anyway, I am not 100% sure they will kick a fuss, but it would be wise to use something else as example just to be safe ;-)0 -
Got the dreaded txt yesterday.
How long do I have to cancel this contract? I want to get my first cashback and then cancel!0 -

Hiya, Ihave been enjoying absolutely FREE international calls to Texas for about 3 months now!! Unfortunately I have received a text message from O2 which states that as of Sept 28th they will now be charging 20ppm for "special numbers beginning with 0844 & 0845". They refer me to the o2.specialnumbers site for more info which I believe also shows some other "special numbers". Funny - the same day I got that Text message I also had one of their reps ring me to offer me "discounts" to renew my membership. HOW FUNNY!! I dont currently use all of my 400 inclusive minutes. BUT, he wanted to offer me a 20% discount on my calls. I told him 20% of nothing was still nothing and he'd need to do better than that to keep my business. He was supposed to post me some information (as he could not answer ANY question I asked him!!) Still not received anything in the post but I betcha the bill is on the way!!
Happy savings!

Is there an email address for cpw or is it better to post to the disconnection manager via RD0

I still haven't received the text on either of 2 contracts taken out in October 2006. If the NGN numbers are to be chargeable from 28/09/07 (as per the website), surely they would now be giving me less than 30 days notice of the change in T&Cs whenever the text/letters are issued out. Or can they just rely on making the information available on their website?0

I received a text on the 28/08 and a letter the next day. I am on Leisure Time Plus tariff.
I'm sure everyone that is on an eligible tariff should have received the text by 29/08 at the latest. However, I believe that O2 will just cover themselves by saying they did send out the text, and in any case they have published it on their website.
For O2 Online customers they can get away with not sending the text if they publish the changes on their website but not too sure about the O2 Direct customers.0
