Isn't the correspondence address on the back of your bill? However, remember if you want to keep your number you should call and ask for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) rather than write - the PAC will cancel your contract when used.

I have been trying to speak to retention since last night, at various stages of course, but I can't get through anyone, "we're sorry for the delay, ....................., one of our advisers will answer your call as soon as they become available" Yeah sure.
It's costing me a fortune!

I mainly use my minutes to call abroad via 0845, can't see the point of using O2 anymore...

Virgin pay as you go, I'm coming back!!!
And I'm subscribing to TalkTalk for the free international calls... :T

Perhaps you could scan the leaflet and upload somewhere for those affected. I also have this: btupfront.htm

They changed several of the prices & conditions a long time ago. The peak time is now from 7.00am and not 8.00am they did not even tell me about the changes until I called them and asked why I was being charged for calls between 7.00am & 8.00am, they ended up having to refund me the charges but from then on I did not make calls at those times. The price of the call have been increased substantially since the original contract. If I think about it we should be making a big fuss because we paid up front for life, agreeing to the terms we were offered at that time and may have not agreed to the contract had the terms been different. The only problem is that PUFFL customers have nothing to gain by cancelling because we do not pay line rental and do still get a number of free calls

Have just spoken to o2 Online Retentions and have been allowed to cancel my 18 month contract (only 5 or 6 months in) and am transferring my number to o2 Pay & Go.

No questions asked, was really easy. They offered a transfer to the Simplicity 30-day rolling contract but allowed me to move to Pay & Go anyway.

Don't know if o2 Online uses different Call Centres/Staff to regular o2 but it was very straightforward for me. I do use NGNs but not a lot - just the odd calls to Customer Service/Telephone Banking numbers etc.

OK emailed O2 yesterday evening, requesting my PAC (3 months to run on my current contract), just got my PAC via email.

Will be moving to a Vodaphone SIM only deal, saving at least £15 / Month.
  • Can anyone who has already cancelled their contract pls answer this?
Do you get to keep the handset? If so is it only in some cases? Thanks
