My last upgrade was in May, just called up, spoke to a lovely lady called Jan, explained that i wanted to keep my number, so have dropped to the £15 simplicity tariff. It does mean that i'm tied into that til May 08, but i'm saving myself a tenner a month. Don't need a new phone as i have a nokia n95 and a se k810i. Overall i'm happy.

Anyone know the cancellation/disconnection address to write to if you're with o2 through Carphone Warehouse?

To 0800 : around -1p during day, and -0.3p during evening and weekends (oh yes, the greedy operators GET money for connecting these calls and YET still want to charge 20p for it!!))

Where's that figure from? :)

• I just got this text through on Saturday and don't want to do. I've had an 18 month contract since June 2006 so only have a few months left. But I don't know whether to cancel and try and find something better or to just stick with it. I was hoping to upgrade to a better contract with a new phone (have had one the whole length of the contact, bit battered lol) - I've heard some people have got £35 pcm contracts for £15 pcm, with a new phone by upgrading the last month.

*shrug*

I do call 0845 numbers a fair bit as well :(

Hi Kitty, this was from BT wholesale pricelist (used to be accessible to public. Not sure if it still is).

• I called customer service and explained that i wanted to cancel my contract and they put me on hold for 20mins while they spoke to someone from the retentions team.
When i got through to the retentions person finally, she said that because i upgraded my tarrif in june i was unable to cancel. She said that 08 numbers should have never been included in my contract, even tho she said at the moment they are coming out of my inclusive mins and long weekends.
Then she went quiet and after about 30 seconds said is there anything else i can help you with? and said i will not this conversation on your account.

Any ideas on how to get out of this, is she right?

Im on Anytime 600 with long weekends on 18 month contract.
