The O2 website for special number is quite clear that the charges would apply to ALL pay monthly contract so I do not see any O2 tariff old or new being spared.

Business tarriffs either haven't been updated or are spared!

    a couple of questions
how long do I need to give notice to them to cancel because of this change? Must I still give 30 days?

Secondly is there a time period after 28th within which I must give them notice?

EDIT i just read post 111 and answered my questions :)

This is the term that refers:
If this Agreement is ended during any Minimum Period, you must pay us the monthly subscription charges up to the end of that Minimum Period.

This does not apply if you end the Agreement for the reasons in paragraph 8.4.

8.4 You may end this Agreement by giving us written notice if:

    (a)
    we break this Agreement in any material way and we do not correct the situation within 7 days of receipt of your written request;
    (b)
we go into liquidation or a Receiver is appointed over our assets; or
    (c)
you are a Consumer Customer and we increase charges for calls, messages or data that form part of your inclusive allowance or your Line Rental Charges orchange this Agreement to your significant disadvantage in accordance with paragraph 9.2 of the General Terms, provided you give us a minimum of 30 days’ written notice (and provided you notify us within one month of our telling you about the changes). This does not apply where the increase or change relates solely to Additional Services in which case you may cancel, or stop using, that Additional Service.

I'm on the old Best for Business 250 with Unlimited Off Peak calls and have not received the text or letter yet.

I once again called 8002 for customer services and the advisor said she wasn't sure whether the tariff would change as its an old one. She said that its really confusing because of all the different billing systems O2 use.

Hi recived a phone call from o2 cpw, I have email them my termination notice (and also by recorded delivery as suggested by ofcom member).
they gave me alternative website to make call
    www.saynoto0870.co.uk. and www.o2.co.uk website.
but not usefull, will terminate contract soon. if any one update me on o2 cpw tarrif/cancellation.

    thanks.
  • Can I suggest that ayone having trouble disconnecting and yet affected contact ofcom direct as it unfair if even one customer can disconnect without penalty whilst other can't.

    Now where are ofcom details?

It might be helpful if people could post which tariff they're on.

I have 2 CPW/O2 contracts (400/100 and 700/100). I haven't received "the" text on either phone (yet) and both were taken out in October 2006.

I moved from long term with O2, to O2 / CPW on 18month contract Oct 2006 too, got THE text from O2 today, so looking to cancel within the 30 day window, as I use 084/0870 a lot.

I'm on the phone to cpw and the lady said I can not cancel because o2 have stated in their TC's that they can change theit TC's without prior notice........
