My case against Tesco has been with the FOS for 9 months now - it's still waiting for an adjudicator. :( I called them this week and they said they were dealing with cases in strict date order and that it shouldn't be too much longer. They said I hopefully won't have to wait longer than a year!

Its horrible waiting, when its your money they are holding on too. My friends case is with Endeavour / Freedom Finance! I think its been with the FOS since oct / nov time!

Friend has recieved some informationday that the FOS are currently investigating making a claim against the underwriter of the payment protection insurance policy. Is this another long process will it come under 8 weeks to have a decision?

    Hi there

And yes it can take some time unfortunately.

Mine in regards of the insurer have been with the FOS since about last October and waiting to hear now of when its actually been moved to the adjudicator.

    Good luck.:);)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker PPI Party Pooper
    Hi all!!
I just wanted to update you on my First Pus situation as it was with the FOS. First plus had originally said that they would rebate the ppi which by their calculations was only £300 or so as I had my premiums refunded after the 5 years period which they offer as an option. I agruged that even though I had been given the 5 yrs premium back, that there was still the ppi amount tagged into the remaining payments.
Anyway the FOS ruled in our favour and we got a cheque from First plus for £9100!!!!!! :j:j:j

A huge thank you to the site, members and advisors.

    Sarah

  • Hi I have been trying to claim my PPI back from Welcome and after printing off and filling in the forms from Martins Money Tips sent them to Welcome complaints office at address I obtained from my local office they sent me back identical forms to fill in. My thoughts were ok they are playing for time but I filled them in and sent them off registered as before and I got a letter of confirmation that my complaint was being looked into and I would hear within four weeks, three weeks later I have just got a letter and new loan aggreement giving me back the full 1,454.00 back that I had paid so reducing my balance. Also my payments have gone down by 98.00 per month. RESULT thanks Martin you should be prime minister.:j
