  • I thought I would post our story as I haven't seen any other Sainsburys successes. After sending Martins first letter and 4 weeks waiting we have had a reply telling us that they will be sending us a cheque for £11,161 in the next ten days. This includes everything we have paid to date plus interest at 8%, also our current loan repayments will be cut from £565 to £365 making us £200 better off every month As you can imagine we are absolutely thrilled and I would strongly advise everyone to do it. You haven't got anything to lose. x

  • hi all,
Another success, CC PPI claim from Lloyds Tsb. I requested SAR from them in mid feb 2010 and 6 weeks later, I received all the docs pertaining to the CC, except the signed agreement in which they said they could not locate. Tough. Maybe, it did not exist!
So, I sent an email to the customer care complaining about mis-selling on the 31st of march 2010 and cc'ed our friend Mr Daniels.
They replied on the 8th of april 2010, together with an acceptance slip. As I was away from the UK, I only sent them the slip at the end of May. Today received a letter stating that the amount of GBP3068 will be paid to my account.
I am over the moon and would like to thank every single one of you here. Appreciate it very much. Cheers.

    Can anyone help?

Took a loan out with First National - GE Money - loans.co.uk in summer 2004 for £11000 with £1650 PPI added to it. Can i claim this back. I have paid off the loan but I feel that PPi was mis - sold! I have been told that I can't claim as it was regulated, is this true? I recieved a letter in Oct 09 to say that my PPI cover was now at its end, even though I paid the loan back in 2005 with another loan!
Would be greatful if anyone could help?

I have already had a letter from loans.co.uk saying they will not pay out as they believe that I was not mis sold PPI and that I had a 30 day cancellation period! I was told when I took out the loan that it was advised to take PPI, no one asked if I got sick pay from work! I do 6 months full! I have looked up and they were not regulated by FSA when I took out the loan! Can I go to the FOS or do I need to go else where?

    Hi there

Contact the FOS anyway as a general query, because they may suggest to go the insurer/underwriter direction who would have been regulated, its another direction to try to get your money back and the FOS have suggested this avenue to many.;)
