Sorry, if this has been discussed earlier & i'm aksing again but does anyone have the address for who to send a woolwich claim to (i think it may be barclays now) please ? Do they usually pay up ? (My partner has one for me to fight now ! lol :)

  • When I went travelling to Australia in 1994 I applied for and got a mastercard. Unbeknown to me I also signed up for a PPI, despite not actually being in employment at the time. I assumed that this was part of the deal for accepting the credit card. Anyway a friend had claimed about £2000 from a PPI a couple of months ago and recommended this site. I followed the template as explained on this website and cancelled my PPI on 24/04/10. I had a letter on 25/06/10 saying that I was owed £12,253.23 - I was anticipating a fight, but this was offered after 1 letter and their 1st response saying this would take them 40 days to investigate. I'm naturally absolutely delighted and extremely grateful for Martin's work.

One point however, is that they said that as I have outstanding debt on my mastercard that they will clear this first and then transfer the remaining money into my bank account. I think that as this is my money they should not being saying that and they should offer the refund as a full payment. I would pursue this further, but it was always my intention to pay off my credit card with this money anyway, so I'm happy for them to do it this way.

    Wow, well done and Congratulations!:T:beer::j

And I agree, its not as if its arrears or missed payments, I do think they should refund the lot to you, for a start you have already been deprived of your money.;)

    Hi

Following from having 2 loans upheld, 2 declined but offered goodwill payments on them. i sent the acceptance back recieved 09/06/2010 but logged 13/06/2010 due to back log.

Trying to find out the amounts exactly/ and when payment would be received isnt easy.

was told one loan was calced on 21/06/2010 and payment processed. could take 14 days to hit account ( so not long now) they have done nothing with goodwill payments and say could take 21 days from 13/06/2010.

The 2nd loan upheld, depends on who answers the phone as to what your, they will quote a figure, but followed dont be surprised if it changes.. " youll have to wait for the letter" when ask when that will be all i get is told is "soon"

has anyone dealt with them and know how long it takes to get into your bank account ( not lloyds) after they get acceptance slip, or even just written confirmation of exact amount paid.

on the other hand HSBC wrote to me today one line saying complint rejected and 3 whole pages with why. basically thay state they dont unfortunatley have the application to see how PPI was sold, but i could have cancelled it at any time.

ANyone had this, I will be writting back, do any guys have success with them changing there mind, there letter doesnt say its there final decision

    cheers

I used the nice template from Martin to ask for my original loan contract and my bank (Lloyds) sent me a letter saying they had lost the original contract and sent me a copy. They add that they are allowed by law to do this. What now, do I do?

Well done Smithy1976 on your success.
I have not dealt with HSBC myself but many have and hopefully will post of their exerience.

Was that the final response on the rejected complaint?

And I take it this account settled?

If not then if you've not done so already, you could request a SAR.

They could offer a goodwill at least, if they do not have the application to go by.;)
