Thanks to Martin I decided to try and reclaim PPI from loans I had over the past 6 years and up to now i have my money back from Barclays Loans, Egg Loan and Tesco, Over £3,000

All the above paid with no hassle, i have another one i'm waiting for from the Yorkshire bank but they are really dragging their feet.

I wont be letting it go next letter is to the FOS

    Thanks :T

Bank: tesco credit card (Bank of scotland)
    Amount: £369
    Time it took: 8 weeks
How it was done: sent one of martins template letters saying i paid PPI and would like it back please.

    My short story:
ive NEVER written in this forum but I have been cutting down on my bills for over a year.
i remebered cancelling PPI on my Tesco visa card a year ago. I dug out as many statements as i could find, added what i had paid up, sent of one of Martin's template letters and thought, i wouldnt get anything back as i stopped paying over a year ago and I had cancelled it. Got a holding letter 4 weeks ago and this morning a letter syaing they will be paying £369.88 into my credit card as soon as i send off a signed letter.

Moral of the story: Even if you have cancelled PPI on a credit card just try claiming what you have paid previously, you have nothing to lose and £££'s to gain
thank you Martin and his team for helping us all save money and keeping the big banks on their toes.:T

Just recieved a letter from Northern Rock saying they are refunding me £2187.22 plus 876.98 interest.

This was from a loan I took out in 2003 and finished in 2008.

I got this from 3 weeks of sending my PPI Questionnaire.

Good stuff, I didint think it would be this easy:beer:

A friend of mine made a claim 12 months ago and its now gone to the FOS and waiting to be passed to adjudicator. This was back on 11th March. How long does this process take? Does anyone know?

Friend has recieved some informationday that the FOS are currently investigating making a claim against the underwriter of the payment protection insurance policy. Is this another long process will it come under 8 weeks to have a decision?

My case against Tesco has been with the FOS for 9 months now - it's still waiting for an adjudicator. :( I called them this week and they said they were dealing with cases in strict date order and that it shouldn't be too much longer. They said I hopefully won't have to wait longer than a year!
