Hi there
Good luck with this.

Was it Welcome who set up the loan for you, or did you use a broker.

If it was Welcome who sold and set this up, then you complain to these of the broker who sold it and went through the application with you.

I would defo go for it if mis sold the PPI for any reasons you have.

There are also questionnaires to send if you don't want to send a letter, these are recently issued by the financial ombudsman service (FOS), if you complete this, remember to also keep a copy, they have 8 weeks in full to respond.

You will find the questionnaire to send to whom set up the finance further down the page Stage one, if you have already prepared a letter though that is also okay, good luck.

There are lots of people who have complained about Welcome.

Please keep us posted, cheers.

Hi

dispite having problems with LLoyds regarding my CC complaint.today i had tree worth of papers work from Lloyds, they had not only looked into the loan i asked but all the loans ( re-finance loans) held with them. 3 they reject complaint but offer as goodwill premiums no interest

on 2 they uphold complaints, offering 8% interest on one, and no interest on the 2nd

all seems strange as i wrote one complaint letter, but for each loan they seem to have taken different points of my complaint inot account.

all in all from one letter, i seem to be a winner... although for the complaints they uphold they havnt told me what i will get back

thanks to this site as without i would never have known

Hi there

Well done and Congratulatons!:T:beer::j

If you require further information from them about your reclaims, if you don't want to ring, you could email:
customer.care.insurance@lloydstsb.co.uk
Ringing them all the time, can be costly, and normally I get to hear from them the same day.

Well done to you anyway.

Success! We've today had a letter back so here's the info:

• What were you reclaiming: Missold PPI on 2 loans
• Who was the provider: HSBC
• How much did you get back: £2,500
• Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Got a letter today
I used the letters on here to write to HSBC and complain that we had been missold PPI when we signed up for 2 loans in approx 2003/4 as we didn't really know what we were signing up for, and they weren't explained properly etc. I've had a number of letters back from HSBC saying sorry for taking so long to look into my complaint but they hadn't forgotten me...

Today we got home to 2 letters - opened the first one and they had agreed to pay back £991 although they disagreed with the reasons I gave (lol!) - yay! Opened the 2nd letter, not thinking anything of it, and realised it was for the 2nd loan and they were offering a further £1,500! So, we're getting a total of around £2,500 back from HSBC for the missold PPI :T

It's definitely worth doing!

Just an update

Recieved a letter from HSBC yesterday regarding 4 loans (all top ups) Ive had with them previously

The 8 week deadline was on the 16th June, and the letter recieved yesterday said they are looking into the details and will take a further 4 weeks

When taking out the loans the first one back in 2003 was taken out in Devon and then the final one in 2006 was taken out in Manchester

Should i just leave it now until a further 4 weeks as passed and see what the outcome is then

I would leave it - I've claimed from them for PPI sold in 2003/4 and got a letter TODAY saying they're paying me £2.5K :T
