I have claimed loan PPI from Lloyds and also had to sign an acceptance form. I think it was about 8 weeks before the money came into the account but they will send a calculation before doing that and then its another 7-10 days before the money is paid in. It appears the credit card ones are taking longer than the loan ones. I think its worth waiting at the FOS also have long waiting times.

    hello

I have just received a letter today from Barclaycard offering me £5208 for missold PPI dating back to 1990.....all for the price of a stamp!!!:j:j

one intial letter, one questionnaire completed - done and dusted in about 6 weeks!!

Thank you so much to this site and to Martin :money:
Hi there. Congratulations on getting a result with Barlcays. Can you advise if you had to provide them with information on how much PPI you paid and provide statements as evidence etc, I note that you said your claim dated back to 1990? I wrote to Barclays on 19 May about 2 Barclaycards we had that we stopped using in 2002, the statements I've got show that we definetely paid PPI each month on them, however the letter we've just got back from them states "After checking the accounts you hold with Barclaycard I can advise that our records show that you never had an active PPI policy in the last 6 years. As we are required by Law to retain only 6 years statements, we have no means of checking if there were any previous premiums paid, nor the amounts and would be therefore unable to offer a refund at this time. If you have evidence of the PPI policy being held and the premiums paid on this account, please provide us with this information and copies of all statements available so that we can re-open our investigation into your complaint. They also say that there letter is a "final response"

if you have the old statements showing the ppi payments then copy them and send them to barclaycard asking them to re-consider their final decision based on the additional information you are providing.
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free
