Hi
First of all many thanks to this site and in particular DI
I had a reply from lloyds declining my CC complaint a week ago, i posted on here and DI said not to let it go, i sent another letter and e-mail.
one day after ( very quick) had another letter declining again, saying this was fina decision unless i had other evidence.
due to the wording of the complaint which started off suggesting a third party was dealing with my complint, i sent one final e-mail and coped in the CEO and asked him to oversea this complaint and check the final letter due to various errors.
Today to my shock had a letter, upholding my complint. not saying on what ground they refunding all the premiums plus interest the FOS would award. and ddespite having a debt on card i can have this off card or in a bank account of my choice.
as this card was open in aroud 1995 and always had around 2-4k on and cleared once and then used. i think this could clear what i currently owe as there is just over 2k on card.. for me this is life changing.
and wthout this site i would be facing another 5 years of debt
I think if they pay inot my bank, ill pay most of card any maybe a little holiday as last few years been awful
thank you again0 -

Would anyone know how far back they will refund? i presume it is since the inception of the account, i won a claim with barclaycard who used last 6 years statesment, which only had PPI on for 11 months due to account being on DMP. and did an average of balance for the previoud 3 years. Do you know if lloyds work on the same basis, also the account i had had been cleared ona few occasion, and then re-built up i presume the refund should cover this also. Im just trying to get an idea of what i may get back
if anyone can point me in the direction of where i could find something that would be great
cheers0 -

Hi there
I am aware they have been known to backdate even from late 90's.
If you still have paperwork, it maybe worth you sending "copies" and not originals (in case they do not hold any information earlier that the last 6 years), so they have something to work by, because this would help. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
ok so I got into claiming back the ppi on everything I've had in the last 10 years and here is where I am so far.
1) mbna REFUNDED ME £700 after the first letter after I had paid £1056 6 years ago..I was probably naive and took the money without interest as I was gobsmacked that they gave in without a fight.
2) Barclaycard refunded £942 on ppi on an account dating back to 2002-4 which was cleared in 2004 - after 2 letters and 3 phone calls harassing them for account details - I paid £235 in insurance over the 2 yeas I had it.
3) Marks and Spencer's money - now with FOB as they claim they were not regulated - any views on this would be most welcome.
4) HSBC - now going to FOB as they categorically deny misselling on 2 loans - again any views would be welcome.
5) cap1, egg are asking for £10 for information but I am not sure if I had ppi on these accounts so is it worth the expense.
overall not too bad but I am now getting to the nitty gritty0 -

Hi there
Well done to you.
You could try by requesting for a copy of your agreement, Write a simple letter and request they send by 12 days, enclose £1 postal order or cheque payment.
This should enclose details of any ppi if taken.
Or ring them and ask them was or is there cover on that actual account.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi
Sorry was meant to post up on this earlier.
In regards of the M&S reclaim, what year did you take this out?
The FOS are only able to investigate complaints who were covered by regulators, ie: FSA prior to these it was GISC (General insurance standards council), however, not all were protected by GISC, so I would therefore contact the FOS by telephone and ask what's the best way to deal with this.
Some have been advised in this case to go to the insurer/underwriter direction, who would have been possibly regulated by the stated governing regulators, its another avenue to take.
So if this is suggested, and you do not have the insurer details, your lender will supply these to you on request, when you receive these, the insurer details will be enclosed and you pursue to them, then if they do not accept liability, move on to the FOS.
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
